Book Description

October 1, 1995
Here, at last, is the definitive cruising guide to a region that beckons sailors from New England and beyond. For two decades, Nicholas Tracy has sailed these fabled waterways, taking notes all the while. The result is a comprehensive and entertaining guide of unsurpassed accuracy. From the dramatic cliffs of Grand Manan island to the pastoral shores of the St. John River and the tidal rivers of the Annapolis Basin, this book has all the navigation information the cruising boater needs. Included are all the snug harbors and tricky passages, from the Lubec Channel and the infamous Reversing Falls to the shores of Cape Sable. The guide is handsomely illustrated with drawings and sketch charts. There is information on customs regulations, anchorages, sources of fuel and provisions, and shoreside life and customs.
