Jim and Nancy Lethcoe are the local experts for Prince William Sound. This book has detailed descriptions and history of every nook and cranny in PWS, along with information about anchorages, pilotage and items of interest. Many historical pictures are included.

You can sit home in your armchair and explore PWS through this book, or you can take it on the water with you. It's like having a local right alongside, giving you a personal tour of the sound.

This book is wonderfully detailed and is filled with tons of information. It is THE definitive guide for cruising PWS and tells you where to anchor, how to make approaches and describes both western and eastern PWS cove by cove. It also includes great hiking information. Sadly it seems to be out of print and is very hard to find. I wish the author would try to get it published again.

I've cruised and recreated in Prince William Sound for much of my adult life. This is the best (and only) cruising guide I've found for this area. Its targeted towards sailboaters, but would also be valuable for motor boaters and kayakers.
