Book Description

September 2004
Tired of hearing what the Supreme Court and the media think that the Constitution mean? Want to know what the people who wrote and ratified the Constitution thought it meant—but you think history is dull and boring?

The Crumbling Wall presents the Constitution’s original intent—in a lively and sometimes humorous manner—and shows how modern governmental practices have strayed from that intent. This book equips the reader to refute the "living Constitution" argument that are commonly used to destroy the very freedoms that the 18th century patriots fought to defend.

Editorial Reviews

Review

That's why T.V. Weber's book on the Constitution and its original intent is such a pleasant surprise. -- A Reasonable Man by syndicated columnist Charley Reese, January, 2005

About the Author

T.V. Weber is a lawyer who has written a number of legal and public policy articles.

He wrote several articles for the now-defunct National Trial Lawyer, a publication that presented legal analysis for the professional in terms that could be understood and appreciated by the layman, such as clients in the waiting room or the staff at a law firm. His editor described him as having "an ability to explain complicated legal issues in layman’s terms and to demystify the law."

In addition to writing articles about the law for popular consumption, he was an assistant editor for his school’s law review. One of his academic projects, Privacy at Risk in the Age of Information: Does the Social Security Number Reveal Too Many Secrets, was published in the November 1993 issue of National Trial Lawyer. He also was awarded his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 1993. He was an adjunct professor at Governor’s State University in the spring of 1995.

Currently, he writes a column for the Serbianna website and his work can be found on other sites often co-authored with his wife, Alida. During the Kosovo War and its aftermath, the Webers wrote numerous articles that were published and made available to the press via the Internet. Some of their work has been translated into various languages and has run in several foreign publications.

Prior to entering the law, his business ventures regularly took him to the proverbial "Main Street, U.S.A." He lived for many years in Kane County, Illinois, where he became involved with local politics.

Currently, he is the corporate counsel for the Brite Site family of companies in Chicago, Illinois. He also provides legal/business consultation to small businesses.

He has a daughter, Becky, and lives with his wife, Alida, in Chicago, Illinois.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Government...take a back seat in my daily affairs", October 12, 2004
This review is from: The Crumbling Wall Against Tyranny: a/k/a The United States Constitution (Paperback)
T.V Weber's book "United States Constitution, The Crumbling Wall Against Tyranny" is a message about good intentions given a nation gone awry in certain situations. I liked the book for it's historical content intertwined with hypothetical situations. One can always use a good history lesson and the author has some definite viewpoints on governmental intrusion into our daily lives. Our wonderful nation, the United States of America, was founded by brave individuals who spoke up against what was unfair in being ruled by England. They fought and sacrificed for our unalienable rights, for the freedom to "Live and Let Live". However, in recent decades there has been a slow regression of those rights, which T.V. Weber has used modern day situations to illustrate examples of just that. In this marvelous land of the free and home of the brave the internal struggle within our society seems to be withering away to a nation of indecisive, immoral, money hungry cowards looking for popularity. We need people to go back to our original roots of what our Founding Fathers stood for and T.V. Weber makes many good points to that effect.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Crumbling Wall Against Tyranny: A/K/A The United States, October 6, 2004
This review is from: The Crumbling Wall Against Tyranny: a/k/a The United States Constitution (Paperback)
The Crumbling Wall against Tyranny is the most interesting book that I've ever seen on the American Revolution, our sytem of government, and the current state of affairs. The book is authorative, yet humorous at times. Complicated legal concepts are explained in terms that I, a mere high school/trade school grad, can easily understand. I was particularly impressed with the authors ability to relate experiences of growing up in a small town to our national government(Chapters 8&9). I, too, grew up in such a small town, albeit my small town was 500 miles away and considerably colder, yet it seemed the same as my little town. In summary, I was very impressed with "The Crumbling Wall Against Tyranny" and I would recommend it to any one interested in American government especialy the parents of students who are studying or will be studying the constituion.
