From the Manufacturer

Crumpler Logo

The history of Crumpler originates in the world of bike messengers and their messenger bags. However, since 1995 the Crumpler collection of bags has greatly expanded. The range includes professional camera bags, laptop and technology bags, backpacks, casual bags and luggage. But despite the evolution in style and use that Crumpler bags have undergone, the principles behind the original pattern have basically remained the same — creativity, innovation, a willingness to experiment, a big dose of humor and products that are built to last a lifetime.

High-quality craftsmanship

Simply put, Crumpler products are well made. All Crumpler products are crafted by hand, beginning as a sketch on paper and then turned into design patterns-all before any piece of fabric is employed. Designing camera bags the old fashioned way preserves the soul and identity of the products and ensures the bags and their uses are thoroughly considered as they're developed.

Just like the originals, all Crumpler photo bags are made of sturdy, high-quality materials. This means that Crumpler camera bags are durable enough to stand up to the high wear and tear that an avid photo enthusiast might put on his or her camera bag. All Crumpler photo bags are made with waterproof, heavy denier nylon and feature a water-resistant design, so they are able to take on the outdoor elements and protect your gear.

In fact, we are so certain of the durability of our bags that all Crumpler bags feature our legendary, one-of-a-kind "'Til Death Do Us Part" warranty.

The drawstring top is great and the overall quality is excellent.

It's really nice having the flexibility to put my camera inside another, larger bag that can hold more without worrying about the camera getting banged around.
Stephen A. Sewall
The bag is the perfect size for the MFT camera, the kit lens, the pancake lens, the charger and cable, and still has room for more gear inside it.

This bag makes it convenient to keep a small camera system safe in a shoulder bag or backpack, and to move it between them easily for travel. The size is just right for a Micro Four Thirds camera system (I'm using an Olympus OM-D EM-5). A Canon 5D with a moderate lens just barely fits face down, but the case isn't intended for that (see the other available sizes).

Pros:
+ The dividers are well designed to support a Micro Four Thirds camera with the lens attached and pointing down, and still fit two items such as a lens, flash, or charger.
+ Well padded on all sides.
+ Very light.
+ The black/gray version is bright red inside -- a little garish, but makes it easy to see small items.

Cons:
- The outside pockets are too small; only one is big enough to hold a lens filter, for example. Two larger pockets would have been better than the five small ones.

I'm ambivalent about the drawstring top. It rolls back so it's out of the way, but since the case is designed to be inside another bag, a simple flap might be quicker to use, making it easier to keep other items off the camera gear.

I originally purchased the small version of this bag to hold a Micro 4/3 body and a few lenses. My intent was to keep my gear in a day pack that didn't scream, "There's camera gear in here!"

First off, the small was way TOO small for much more than a body and maybe, a lens. If you want to carry a body and 2 small lenses, get the MEDIUM.

The construction is good but I think a flap that attached, rather than a drawstring top, would be more effective since it doesn't really close. I store my camera face-down, which leaves the LCD is a little exposed so I keep a handkerchief in the bag for a little extra protection.

Overall a little pricey for what it is but it's well made and works as advertised.

I have a Nikon D3200 and the camera body and lens barely fit in the small pouch. If you have any kind of SLR camera I suggest you choose the medium or large pouch.

I like to carry my camera in a relatively small shoulder sling bag - one big enough to hold the camera, iPhone, maps, and a small water bottle on the outside. At first I would put the camera in a camera case before packing it in the sling bag, but it was too much of a hassle to get the camera unpackaged for a photo. As a result, I found myself simply putting the camera in the sling bag and praying that I wouldn't drop the bag or smack it against something. One might ask -why not simply use a sling bag made for cameras? I actually tried a number of them but for one reason or another - too big, awkward, etc. - I didn't find one that was satisfactory.
The small Crumpler Haven Camera Bag, which I purchased recently, is a great solution for me. It fits my Olympus E-M1 and Olympus 14-150 lens perfectly. The camera fits snugly but is easily removed from the bag. The bag is well padded and the drawstring makes for easy closing and opening. It is small enough to fit comfortably in my shoulder sling bag.
If you are someone who generally favors a non-camera bag to walk around with because it is more comfortable, suits your needs better, and/or doesn't scream 'camera bag', then the Crumpler is the perfect 'camera bag to put in your bag'.

I bought the small Crumpler to store my micro four third camera and the few lenses I own. Overall, the bag is well built, has some handy external pockets, internal dividers and is made with a nice material that I have no doubt will protect my camera and lenses.

However, even the small size is a bit larger than I expected. I know some have bought the medium for their cameras, but for my Panasonic GF1 and 20mm, 14mm, and 45mm lenses, there is quite a bit of extra room, especially on the top portion once you've placed the camera and lenses. I'd say its the size of a gift bag.

It easily fits on the bottom of a back pack or would fit in a luggage, but isn't quite as compact as I expected for a small.

I use it to house my Sony NEX 6 and the 18-200 zoom lens. It is perfect. I can put it in my Tumi Kingville backpack for business travel.

This bag is small but mighty. If you need something to just throw in your backpack, yet keep your precious, big-ticket camera safe, this is the bag. I took it all over Europe in my LLBean backpack this summer, and it rocked.

I bought this on a whim after looking for small bags that can be stored in a backback, yet doesn't scream "There is an expensive camera inside of me" when taken out. The inside is totally customizeable with 2 velcro inserts (3 seperate compartments) so you can adjust the inside of the bag's dimensions to match whatever camera and accessories you have. This fits my Nikon J1 with attached kit lens, Giotto Rocket (small) with lens cleaning solution and battery/charger perfectly. The outside has small storage pockets which I use to keep a lens cleaning cloth and cotton swap in. The dedicated lens cap storage pocket is big enough for 1, maybe 2 caps at best. I have two in there and its a bit stretched out. All items are super snug and secure inside. This is perfect if you want to travel light and only take 1 or two lenses with you. I am sure once I get the 18mm Nikkor lens it will still be able to fit with the giotto rocket as well. Kudos to Crumpler for making one awesome bag.
