From the Manufacturer

Crumpler Logo

The history of Crumpler originates in the world of bike messengers and their messenger bags. However, since 1995 the Crumpler collection of bags has greatly expanded. The range includes professional camera bags, laptop and technology bags, backpacks, casual bags and luggage. But despite the evolution in style and use that Crumpler bags have undergone, the principles behind the original pattern have basically remained the same — creativity, innovation, a willingness to experiment, a big dose of humor and products that are built to last a lifetime.

Crumpler is known for high-quality craftsmanship.

The Industry Disgrace Camera Strap features
an ergonomic, double-layer neoprene neck cushion.

High-quality craftsmanship

Simply put, Crumpler products are well made. All Crumpler products are crafted by hand, beginning as a sketch on paper and then turned into design patterns-all before any piece of fabric is employed. Designing camera bags the old fashioned way preserves the soul and identity of the products and ensures the bags and their uses are thoroughly considered as they're developed.

Just like the originals, all Crumpler photo bags are made of sturdy, high-quality materials. This means that Crumpler camera bags are durable enough to stand up to the high wear and tear that an avid photo enthusiast might put on his or her camera bag. All Crumpler photo bags are made with waterproof, heavy denier nylon and feature a water-resistant design, so they are able to take on the outdoor elements and protect your gear.

In fact, we are so certain of the durability of our bags that all Crumpler bags feature our legendary, one-of-a-kind "'Til Death Do Us Part" warranty.

The Million Dollar Home bags also come with velcro silencer flaps that can be placed over velcro fasteners to keep unwanted noise out of your photo shoot. Our Haven camera bags feature a fully configurable main compartment with two velcro-mounting slim-line dividers. And all Crumpler camera bags come with a variety of pockets, leaving you prepared to easily store and access your cables, memory cards, lens caps and other camera gear. Crumpler camera bags are so customizable that, whether you're a seasoned professional or an amateur enthusiast, you're guaranteed to be well prepared for your next shoot.

I've got several other camera bags, full backpacks (Mountain Smith), sling bags (Lowepro), etc, but this is the one I almost always end up using. Comfortably holds quite a bit of gear, for me it holds a Canon T1i w/battery grip, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L (bag can hold the camera with this lens mounted), a Canon 24-105mm f/4 IS L, Canon 10-22mm f3.5/4.5, Canon 50mm f1.8 and my old Canon 420EX Flash (also misc filters, memory cards, etc). I was pretty amazed the bag easily swallowed up all this gear, thought I'd have to leave some stuff behind when using this bag but was pleased it could hold it all comfortably with room to spare. The bag is quite indiscreet, friend said it looked like a nice diaper bag which is fine with me since unlike some other bags it doesn't scream out, "Expensive camera gear in here!"

The bag is comfortable to wear but isn't ideal if you're planning to go hiking or are going to be bending over for some reason since the bag is going to hang down in your face unless you put it down. I use it for general shooting and when I'll be just walking around such as when I'm shooting around a city. Access to the camera is pretty good I wear it across my body like a sling bag which works well for me. Getting to the camera isn't quite as convenient as my Lowepro Slingshot but it the camera is still easy enough to get at when wearing the bag. I still prefer my Crumpler though because it provides easier access to the rest of my stuff in the bag (lenses, memory cards, etc) than the Lowepro

Overall I'd highly recommend the bag if you've got a fair bit of gear, you could probably get away with one of the smaller Crumpler bags if you don't want to carry a ton of camera stuff with you but if you've got a few lenses including a longer zoom I'd recommend going with the Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home.

To start off, I haven't owned too many camera bags. Luckily enough for me I picked the best bag I've seen on my second round.

I started off by buying the Canon Backpack bag. It's hideously unattractive and really besides the inserts is no different from any other backpack on the planet (except this one you'd get beat up for at the office). It was black and "idiotic gold" and seemed like a mix between a Jansport and a shoebox. It was a fairly rigid body (good thing) but too large in certain areas and too small in others. It was hard holding a lot of equipment in it and once you did it was *extremely* difficult to get it out without putting the bag on the ground and opening it up all the way (just the thing I love to do on crowded streets in a city where I wouldn't even leave a juicebox out of sight for fear of it being gone when I look back...I'll miss you Ectocooler Hi-C)

Finally, I decided it was time to upgrade. I wanted a bag I could take things out of without having to stop. I wanted a bag that didn't need to be put on the ground. I wanted a bag that could make me espresso in the morning. Thank God for Crumpler and their ability to make a bag that does 2 of those 3 things! Actually, I'm glad it doesn't do the third thing too because I don't want espresso on my lenses.

When this bag arrived, it was as if the Heavens opened up and rays of God's grace hit my doorstep. This bag is sexy. I picked brown and orange because I'm from Cleveland and our football team deserves respect. Also, have you seen the blue? Yikes. After opening the package I saw exactly what the description already said: this bag is seemingly made with a single piece of fabric. There are seams, but it almost seems as if they're just there for decoration. This bag is almost vacuum sealed.

This bag fits my D700, grip, 70-200VR, 24-70, 2 flashes, and D300 body. Thing weighs a ton, but it will hold the equipmnent. Only drawback is i can't have my extra body mounted to a lense. I still rated this high because if i really needed to have extra body mounted, i would simply need a bigger bag. Not gonna happen because the bigger version is way too much more money and I think will be difficult to carry. If you are considering getting this bag or a 6MDH, get this one!!! I found myself in this predicament and decided on this one because of my large 70-200 lense.

I ordered this bag because I wanted something that looked respectable for carrying around a friend's wedding. I have several other camera bags, and this one by far offers the most flexibility in terms of accommodating different lenses and accessories. I carried a Canon 40D, a 17-55, 70-200, and a 10-22 wide angle lens, along with a hood and some other odds and ends. It all fit with a little room to spare. The velcro is amazingly strong - which adds security for your camera equipment -- but can also damage your clothing (I accidentally snagged a sweater). The only other downside is that a bag of this size gets heavy when fully loaded; it would be nice if there were an optional waist loop to take some of the weight off your shoulder (like some messenger bags have).

This bag is great, lots of room, cool colors and customizable! It is a big, study bag so it can get in the way at times but I can't criticize it for being good at what it does. Only thing i wish it had was a few smaller pockets for gadgets and a wallet. Otherwise, highly recommended.
