5.0 out of 5 stars Great bag!, July 11, 2007
I just purchased this bag and I love it already. I'm small, only 4'11" and I was worried that it would be too big for me to wear as a messenger bag. It's fine. :) I was looking for a bag that didn't look like a "photo" bag.

It has great storage inside, very secure padding. I currently have the following items in the bag, but I will take some out depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing that day.

Nikon D40 camera with 18-55mm lens attached.

Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor Lens

Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Opteka RC-7 Wireless Remote Control for Nikon D40

An extra battery

Battery charger

Various things for cleaning lenses

Hoodman

Lens hood

Maps and other papers

Personal items

And I have a mini tripod that hangs on one of the side loops.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag but..., November 2, 2007
I just received this bag today...I really like it. The size is nice and the design is nice. Don't let the picture of this bag fool you with the "pale olive" color...it's green...it's not pale by any means. So if you're okay with that, then no biggie. Also I do remember reading another user said to splurge for the 7 million dollar bag and I probably would agree. Although this fit my Rebel Xti with lens on as well as a 70-300 lens, a macro lens and my other digital camera (Canon S30), it doesn't leave you a lot of room for adding other items such as if you had a bunch of lens filters and just other accessories for your camera. There is no extra attachments for a tripod although I'm sure I can come up with a way of attaching my tripod. The 7 million dollar bag doesn't have a tripod attachment either (the Brazilian does), but at least it would allow for other accessories and not such a tight fit.

I like the bag...it's a nice size for what I have and isn't overly huge which is what I needed for now, but like all camera bags I buy, I'm sure I'll grow out of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars No way! The (near) perfect bag!, October 17, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Crumpler 6 MILLION DOLLAR HOME Shoulder Photo Bag (Dark Brown/Oatmeal/Light Olive) (Electronics)
I've had (no kidding here) no less than 15 camera bags, backpacks, shoulder bags, holsters and carrying things in the past four years.

I've owned Kata (still have two), Lowepro (still have one), Tamrac, Domke and others.

I know I'm like many photographers, I want different bags for different uses. A bag for just the body and walkaround lens. A bag for EVERYTHING under the sun. And one for just a couple lenses, the body and some extras. It's this last category that's so hard to fill. This bag fills it quite well.

I wanted something quite specific. I wanted a non-pro body with a 24-70/2.8 to fit in, plus a 70-200/4 and a couple small lenses. I'd like the option to take just three lenses and my flash. And all the little goodies every photographer needs. I also wanted something I could wear while changing lenses. That was the tricky part. Plus, it should be light, well padded and not tell everyone I'm carrying thousands in camera gear.

The Crumpler 6MDH does it very very well. Stylish, too. Well padded and will hang on my hip so I can reach in and grab the next lens. Perfect for all the gear for a weekend or an afternoon.

The clincher for me were the loops on the side. No one mentions them in any reviews till one I saw yesterday. Just said it in passing. But they allow me to attach lens cases or flash cases or whatever so when it's just not enough on it's own, I can bring that one extra item. It's the near perfect bag. (To be perfect, the thing would have to expand, contract and know what I needed without me putting the stuff in there. Ain't gonna happen.)

Just get it!
