From the Manufacturer

Crumpler Logo

The history of Crumpler originates in the world of bike messengers and their messenger bags. However, since 1995 the Crumpler collection of bags has greatly expanded. The range includes professional camera bags, laptop and technology bags, backpacks, casual bags and luggage. But despite the evolution in style and use that Crumpler bags have undergone, the principles behind the original pattern have basically remained the same — creativity, innovation, a willingness to experiment, a big dose of humor and products that are built to last a lifetime.

an ergonomic, double-layer neoprene neck cushion.

High-quality craftsmanship

Simply put, Crumpler products are well made. All Crumpler products are crafted by hand, beginning as a sketch on paper and then turned into design patterns-all before any piece of fabric is employed. Designing camera bags the old fashioned way preserves the soul and identity of the products and ensures the bags and their uses are thoroughly considered as they're developed.

Just like the originals, all Crumpler photo bags are made of sturdy, high-quality materials. This means that Crumpler camera bags are durable enough to stand up to the high wear and tear that an avid photo enthusiast might put on his or her camera bag. All Crumpler photo bags are made with waterproof, heavy denier nylon and feature a water-resistant design, so they are able to take on the outdoor elements and protect your gear.

In fact, we are so certain of the durability of our bags that all Crumpler bags feature our legendary, one-of-a-kind "'Til Death Do Us Part" warranty.

This bag is just big enough to hold my Nikon D600 DSLR and an extra short lens. I can't fit anything more in it, which is fine for my use. Just don't expect it to hold a lot of gear. I can't even put my battery charger in it if I have the extra lens in it. However, the build quality is great, it looks great, and I like the option of using or not using the velcro on the flap. I wish the bag had a strap cushion, not because it hurts or gets heavy, but because it would help keep the adjustable strap together. I find that when I grab the bag quickly, sometimes I grab the wrong part of the strap and it takes me a second to get it straightened out.

I didn't buy mine from Amazon (got it on a black Friday special) but thought I'd review it so others would not have to experience what I did. First let me say that I am a professional photographer and have professional equipment (Canon). I recently purchased a Rebel SL-1 camera (for those non paying events I attend when I don't want to take my full size DLSR). The SL-1 is billed as the world's smallest DSLR, I wanted a bag to carry it and two lenses and (from the pictures in the advertisement) this seemed perfect. I have large hands so I use a battery grip on all my cameras, the SL-1 with 85mm f1.8 lens attached barely fit in the case and the only way I could get my 50mm f1.4 in with it was to squeeze it in sideways in the little space left at the very top and side of the case. I wondered if my 50D back up camera would fit at all so I tried it and only with the battery pack removed and the 85mm f1.8 lens attached and the dividers removed with no space left for another lens (although I probably could put my 50 mm in first and let it rub against the barrel of the 85. I guess if you have the smaller kit lenses you may be able to get a small zoom lens to fit, but my 24-70mm f2.8 sure wouldn't. There is a small zippered compartment on the back, I guess you could store a sheet of paper or (maybe) a few flash cards in there. The shoulder strap is non removable and there is no "d" ring or loop to attach an extra lens case. Bottom line, high quality material & construction; low quality design & functionality. This would be a great case for an expensive point & shoot or mirrorless camera. Note: I guess it's too late to post pictures of the case & my SL-1 I accidently hit the submit buttom and I don't see any way to add them now.

i actually own the 1st version / v1 of the 4M$H. from what I've read and seen personally, the older one has thicker paddings than the new one. the new one also lost the mesh pocket inside. the front pockets are more spacious on the v1 compared to the new one and there are dual velcros on the old one whereas the new one has one big velcro. the v1 has velcro silencers (which you can fold away behind the velcro and it also looks like a small pocket with the silencer cover out), not sure if the new one has (i reckon it has).

This bag is really well made and does exactly what I want: carry my DSLR, one extra lens and and couple small items like an extra battery and memory cards. There's not room for much else and that's why I got the $4 Million Home. This is just right if you want to travel light and fast. Construction is absolutely top notch! If it had a carry handle on top, like some of its slightly-larger brethren, it would be perfect in my opinion. As it is, it's great for everyday, unobtrusive carry. It closes securely but pops open in a flash. I have larger bags for storing all my gear, all at once, but I don't regularly need to tote around every lens and accessory I own; most of the time I need to carry very little and this bag fits the bill.
