From the Manufacturer

Crumpler Logo

The history of Crumpler originates in the world of bike messengers and their messenger bags. However, since 1995 the Crumpler collection of bags has greatly expanded. The range includes professional camera bags, laptop and technology bags, backpacks, casual bags and luggage. But despite the evolution in style and use that Crumpler bags have undergone, the principles behind the original pattern have basically remained the same — creativity, innovation, a willingness to experiment, a big dose of humor and products that are built to last a lifetime.

Crumpler is known for high-quality craftsmanship.

The Industry Disgrace Camera Strap features
an ergonomic, double-layer neoprene neck cushion.

High-quality craftsmanship

Simply put, Crumpler products are well made. All Crumpler products are crafted by hand, beginning as a sketch on paper and then turned into design patterns-all before any piece of fabric is employed. Designing camera bags the old fashioned way preserves the soul and identity of the products and ensures the bags and their uses are thoroughly considered as they're developed.

Just like the originals, all Crumpler photo bags are made of sturdy, high-quality materials. This means that Crumpler camera bags are durable enough to stand up to the high wear and tear that an avid photo enthusiast might put on his or her camera bag. All Crumpler photo bags are made with waterproof, heavy denier nylon and feature a water-resistant design, so they are able to take on the outdoor elements and protect your gear.

In fact, we are so certain of the durability of our bags that all Crumpler bags feature our legendary, one-of-a-kind "'Til Death Do Us Part" warranty.

The Million Dollar Home bags also come with velcro silencer flaps that can be placed over velcro fasteners to keep unwanted noise out of your photo shoot. Our Haven camera bags feature a fully configurable main compartment with two velcro-mounting slim-line dividers. And all Crumpler camera bags come with a variety of pockets, leaving you prepared to easily store and access your cables, memory cards, lens caps and other camera gear. Crumpler camera bags are so customizable that, whether you're a seasoned professional or an amateur enthusiast, you're guaranteed to be well prepared for your next shoot.

Just like our camera bags, our camera straps are designed with full functionality in mind too. For example, our Industry Disgrace camera straps feature an ergonomic, double-layer neoprene neck cushion that distributes the mass of your camera evenly across your shoulders.

The front pocket closure is now a button, instead of the loud velcro.

This Bag will hold everything you need unless you are a Pro wedding photog or Enthusiast who needs lots of bulky lenses and gear.

My Induro CT 414 is just too big and awkward when strapped to the bag, but my smaller sunpak 423px fits on it a little better.

The pictures shown here are misleading. The green interior is for the older model. It's red in this new model. However, that isn't the issue I took with this bag (and hence why it is receiving only 2 stars). The gaping problem here is that I consider this newer model to be a downgrade from the older model. The padded inserts are basically padded card stock. In comparison to the older inserts, which are extremely plush, it's night and day (I've added comparisons of this in the photo gallery). I returned this bag and bought the older model, which is also cheaper by the way. It's saddening to see a brand such as Crumpler cheap out here on their bags...

That's not to say this newer model doesn't have a few upgrades over the older one though. The front pocket closure is now a button, instead of the loud velcro. There is also an easier to reach more functional zipper pocket in the back of the bag. And the shoulder pad is slimmer and not as bulky anymore. Despite these minor changes though, the extreme lack of padding kills it for this bag.

6MDH is so small, it looks like a purse on me.

However, it has enough space for my DSLR body, 3 bigger primes, SB 600 speedlight, pocket wizards, tripod (outside),2 chargers + small accessories. That's a lot for a purse-size bag!

I read complains about the new version being a downgrade. I must disagree...The quality outside and inside is very durable and it looks better than the older version.

Padding - It is a great change! I'm really glad they redesigned it and made it thinner. For this size, it is extremely important to make as much space as possible for camera gear. I can tell that it is not any worse than previous padding (protection wise).

Tripod straps - I do not like how they are placed. Weight is not well balanced with my 3lbs tripod attached this way... so I made few little changes in order to carry it with a great comfort.

Overall, 5 star work Crumpler!

I ordered one with black color, it looks nice for a camera bag and seems to have good protection. But the dividers are not as plush as those I have used with other brands. The dividers feel like a piece of plastic(like credit card) wrapped with some very thin padding. In terms of functionality and protection, it might not be a problem, but feels cheap on hand. The shoulder pad also feels little rough. I have a camera strap from Crumpler as well, it feels smooth and comfortable. That's why I wanted to try their camera bag, but it's very different in material used.

Dimension wise, it fits very well for my Canon 6D with 24-105 f4 attached and 580 EX 2. I put the camera facing down in the middle compartment and the flash light in its case on the side. The bag is just deep enough for them, anything thing smaller I think will have difficulty to secure the cover. And I still have one compartment left for other small items.

This Bag will hold everything you need unless you are a Pro wedding photog or Enthusiast who needs lots of bulky lenses and gear. I can fit my 6D with a big lens, as well as my 70-200, Flash, transmitters, and extra cables etc very comfortably.

The flaps/inserts are thinner than before, but I don't feel that this is a disadvantage because of the extra room and the fact they are still supportive/firm.

It is a bit bulky, but you are probably buying for a big bag anyways!

Got a used one but only thing wrong was Front Snap button. It came with the bag but I did not want to go trhough process of trying to get it sewed back on. Does not make that much of a difference anyway. Bag still works great for what I need. Fits Nikon D5100 with
18-55, 55-250, Sigma 70-300, 0.45 macro wide angel lens, external flash, battery charger and a couple more accessories. Great for a beginner like me.

Whether I'm hiking or trekking around the city, it's important that my bag can be my purse and camera bag, all in one. The 6 Million Dollar Home can hold my Canon 30D, 17-85mm lens, 50mm 1.8, flash, Canon AE-1, extra rolls of film, wallet, keys, and iPhone, all with room to spare (great for when I acquire another lens). Having the option to take my tripod without needing to tote around a separate bag means that I can carry all my photo and daily essentials with ease and comfort. I've used other brands before buying this bag, but Crumpler definitely stood out to me. The 6 Million Dollar Home doesn't look or feel like the average camera bag and that's a good thing!

The search for a decent bag in this size category continues.

I saw this on sale at B&H in all black. Came here to buy it but, all they have is this color combo. So while mine is black with red inside, it is identical in construction.

I own the first version of this bag. The one with the giant piece of velcro that sounds like a massive fart or a bag of gravel being dumped on metal when you open the bag. Handy during weddings and breaking the mood -- that velcro.

Crumpler got enough snarky feedback about that big mistake to come out with silencers on the next version.
This version also has a silencer but it is kind of funky. Instead of folding back, it is supposed to tuck in a small pocket. Fine, but it does not work and won't fit in the pocket, leaving it awkwardly poking up a bit.

Frankly, they should just loose the velcro. I don't think many bag companies use it in bags like this. It has been nothing but trouble and offers little advantage and a lot of hassle. All I can imagine is that: because Crumpler comes out of bike messenger bag design, they can't get it out of their heads. There is nothing worse than a industrial designer hell bent on a bad/unnecessary idea/component to a design that he or she refuses to give up.

They added padding to the top which is appreciated but, for some odd reason, removed the giant and really handy net pocket that had been there. Hey, that was handy and perhaps one of the best things about the bag! While the new one has a pocket now on the back of the bag, that's the part against your body and is smaller. Other than a map or two and maybe a notepad (paper kind), you can't put much in there. So the new one has LESS storage for misc stuff than the old model.
