Great bag for Panasonic GF1 with 14-140mm zoom lens,

If you are the lucky owner of a Panasonic GF1 camera and either have--or are planning on purchasing--the Panasonic 14-140mm zoom lens, then this bag is a great companion for you. It's perfect for carrying this camera-lens combo around. However, there is not much space for more in the bag. You will be able place the GF1 pancake lens as well in the bag when traveling, but that's about it.The one thing I don't like about this bag is the interior green color which seems to exist in virtually all combinations. The red highlight is only used on the exterior flaps, but not the interior. I wish they stopped using that ugly green. Maybe it's there for a reason...

Great for a G11 and extras,

I bought this bag to hold my Canon G11 along with Lensmate adapters and filters. It's a great size for this, with enough small spots to squirrel away an extra battery or two, memory cards, and lens cleaners. I had been using a LowePro Apex 100, which can fit the camera and Lensmate, but was a tight fit for an extra filter and a very boxy, obviously a camera bag, style. I wanted something with a little more volume and flexibility, so I could carry another filter or a phone, keys, etc.The build quality is great--in fact, it's sturdier than I expected, which has pluses and minuses. Excellent protection for the camera, but not compressible when empty or not full. The triangular shape of the main compartment can make it difficult to use the velcro divider, as if it fits at the bottom it doesn't meet at the top if the bag is full. I also wish the strap were padded, as it starts to get a little uncomfortable after a few hours. Overall, a good choice for a G11 and stuff. Even better, it doesn't look like a camera bag, except when I forget and let my lens cleaner cloth hang off the side...

Frustrating,

There is way too much Velcro all over this bag to be able to get anything in--or out--of it. I have a Panasonic G2 and while the bag is more than roomy enough for the camera and kit lens, the fit is awkward. By the time you add the charger, cord, spare battery, etc. into the various compartments, the bag is bulky and barely closes. Be prepared to ruin your sweater and sleeves as you open and close this bag. It is incredibly stiff and for all the layers doesn't even seem to offer that much padding or protection. It doesn't stand up when you put it down on a flat surface. It is chic looking, but definitely NOT a good value for the money--you are better off with a generic multipurpose bag that you can customize yourself to use as a camera bag.

I bought the 2 million dollar home and was afraid it couldnt fit my Panasonic Lumix G2 with lens ! Guess what.. it does and also a spare battery and a SD card ! But the fit is snug.. so dont think of bringing any additional lenses.. it fits a 14-42 mm lens attached to the G2..

Very well built, padded and good looking bag with a separator. Fits NEX5 with 2.8/16 lens, charger, etc. perfectly. Not to big.

High quality good looking bag, that does not scream camera bag. I am using it for my Sony HX1, and it fits with a little bit of sideways room to spare. The bag is a bit long for my camera, so i could stuff something in the bottom of the bag for a bit of extra storage.

I was pleased with this bag but it was too big for the Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd unless you needed to put other items in it. It was too small to use for my canon xti or I would have kept it.

I bought this for my D90 in 2008.It fits the body and the kit lens - just barely. Nice and snug. The thing is... I never used this case. It collected dust. Not sure why I didn't use it. It wasn't super stealthy. (Loud velcro.) Maybe that's it. I used my camera strap and just slug it over my shoulder. Naked camera. All the time. I was careful, and my D90 and all its lenses were fine until... I used this bag. Then I got careless. This weekend (Feb 2011), my D90 and its kit lens -- inside this very case -- took a tumble of a low table to a hard wood floor. I'm guessing it was about 3 feet. Maybe even less. The result: Broken lens mount. Cracked out two pieces of plastic. Body _seems_ fine. I'm not really blaming the case, but I have to wonder if I just stuck to my careful-yet-naked camera ways that this wouldn't have happened. Be aware. Despite all the padding and straps and cottony goodness -- this case might not cut it in the end. |
