Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

"We've put together a program that's going to strengthen, shape, and redefine your lower bodies," promises instructor Tyla Reich. This is not the old, familiar, floor-work video with interminable leg lifts. Instead, you get a creative assortment of favorite lower-body exercises from athletes, dancers, and trainers, mostly done while standing and moving. The half-hour workout is divided into four sections, each with a different focus. Section 1 offers sport-like moves for power and strength, including squats, lunges, pliés, and leg lifts, all from a standing position. Section 2 presents variations of lunges, which trainers use for thigh and buttock shaping and strengthening. Even without weights, you'll feel these! Section 3 is worth the price of the video all by itself: holding onto a chair, you do effective ballet moves for inner thighs, buttocks, and calves. Section 4 gets you down on a mat for isolations working inner thighs, hamstrings (back of thigh), and buttocks. Whatever your fitness level, you'll feel the burn with this creative lower-body 35-minute workout! --Joan Price

5.0 out of 5 stars SO much fun, and great results!, March 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Crunch: Killer Legs [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is so much fun, I love working out with it! The combinations and variety of moves give your legs a total workout and I saw results in 3 weeks. I thought Tyla was very motivating - she has a fun attitude without being cute, and her instruction is good. My favorite part of this workout are the dancer's exercises. These exercises really work, but I don't feel like my legs are about to fall off while I'm doing them. It's not about endless reps, and the short length means I can definitely fit this workout into my busy day. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intense on the muscles, but fun to do., August 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Crunch: Killer Legs [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is a great leg workout. The routine is great because the moves are mixed up enough so that you don't feel like you are doing too many repetitions. I love the ballet moves, which add something new that many videos out there do not have. I could feel my muscles working during the lunges, but they weren't overly fatigued. I would recommend this video for people looking to strengthen and tone their leg muscles. The 30 minutes fly by!

2.0 out of 5 stars too boring, September 12, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Crunch: Killer Legs [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video did not keep me motivated. It is very boring and hard to follow. I would not recommend it. I would however recommend the Crunch series boot camp. It really helped me get fit.
