At Crusader, we are on a quest for the best of the best of everything in our products. We found that many common lubricants are just not as slick as we wished. We wanted... 'The Best'. Being former Military, our old stand-by gun care product was a three in one jack of all trade that just didn't really do anything perfectly. Cleaning, Lubricating, and Protecting... well, those three missions just do not work out well with one substance. looking at other products, some had us wondering: "Our gun metal needs a Conditioner? Isn't that what our wives use in their hair?" A firearm is a machine, and a machine needs good lubrication. The best lubricants are synthetic based, not the mineral oil base commonly used in 'Gun Oil'. We came up with our own 2 Part System. We discovered a synthetic oil that has fantastic lubrication properties, and as a side effect, offers great corrosion protection. Now... this would be good enough on it's own, but we took it a step farther. We found a nano-lubricant that is the slickest stuff on the planet, and works perfectly well with gun metal and the polymers used in modern weapons. This nano-lubricant is the heart of our product and the oil is simply the carrier for it. When combined with our oil, it lowers the coefficient of friction so dramatically that the results have been shocking. We gave a sample of our oil to a Military Officer who tested the product in his weapon in dusty conditions. He fired 4419 rounds without a weapon malfunction and without cleaning. His response was enthusiastic. He said "It was like a 'slipstream' between the moving parts" and that's how we got the name. Slipstream offers: enhanced lubrication, smoother action, increased longevity, and increased reliability, while giving superior corrosion resistance. Best lube you can get for the money IMHO. Noticeable reduction on metal to metal rubbing sounds in all of my pistols since I started using it. A little goes a long way.

I've never used a lubricant that worked as well as Slipstream for reducing friction. I still keep some less expensive Hoppes around for surface protection, but the moving parts get Slipstream, and it makes a difference. In my SIG or my daughter's Crickett, they sound and feel smoother with Slipstream than other lubes.

I bought Slipstream from Crusader directly when it first came out. I've been cleaning guns and putting it on each as I get to them and Have to say my XD and my AR both run smoother with it. Great stuff!
