Book Description

"It was filled with love, heartache, action, a mouthy angel and one smoking hot Satan...I would gladly go to hell for him...I cant wait for the next one!!! A wicked read indeed :)" ~ Jennifer at Bhook Junkie

"The unexpected is what makes this book such a brilliant read and I have it on good authority that there is a sequel in the works. Whether you find yourself on Team Jack or Team Jason, you won’t want to miss any of this series." ~Autumn at Open Book Society

"If you love fast paced stories with many twists, humour, romance and snark with enough innuendo's to please even the minxiest of flirts, then you have to read this book." ~Ramblings of a Book Bitch

"This was an interesting book because of its take on good and evil. Is the Devil evil or merely a misguided soul in need of redemption? Are all Angels good and are even the good ones always pure and true, or driven by very human weaknesses? The lines were mixed and didn't always play out the way you would have expected them to." ~Laura at Book Chick City

How does a foul-mouthed angel end up as the last hope for all of Heaven and Earth?

When Seraph Emma is maimed and tossed from Heaven by a rogue angel who's taken charge, she fears she'll never be allowed to return. Tasked with the impossible job of showing the self-loathing (and not even human!) Jason his worth, Emma is sure she's doomed to fail.

Meanwhile, having wormed his way into Heaven, the corrupt Everett has trapped God in Hell and has designs on unleashing evil everywhere. Fortunately, if there's one thing Emma can't do (in addition to minding her language), it's give up. Determined to save Jason and get back to Heaven-even if it means going to Hell-Emma's plan is simple yet impossible: trick the Devil to save God.

What she doesn't count on is the devotion and, well, humanity she finds in Jason; the spirit, hidden compassion, and raw sex appeal within the Devil; and the vulnerability of her own heart. With the help of two unlikely allies, she'll wage the battle for Heaven. But will Emma be sidetracked by a new sort of heaven along the way?

What's truly more dangerous? Falling from Heaven, or falling in love?

Debra Anastasia has twisted a fast-paced tale of intimate relationships with literally universal impact. Rich with humor and electrified by attraction, this novel offers a playfully off-beat take on the good and evil that make up the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! June 8, 2011
Format:Paperback
I loved this book. I enjoyed the diverse characters and non-stereotypical representations of devils and angels. The humanity shines through in this celestial tale. A classic allegory with a modern twist. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot in Heaven May 26, 2011
By Shalu
Format:Kindle Edition
I love this book! Ms. Anastasia has an entirely fresh and creative voice, and I absolutely adore the heroine Emma, an angel with not only an attitude, but the foul mouth to match. There are some truly beautiful moments, and so much one can relate to in Emma's journey. Also, the Devil was never so tempting ... it gets difficult to remember who you're rooting for.

Anyway, the story is fun, delicious, sexy, and just the beginning! Can't wait to hear more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT READ! I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! July 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I never thought I'd say this but I love the devil! Haha. It really is a hard decision though - Jason or Jack. I think I would have chose Jack, he's too yummy to resist!

Great book from start to finish, check it out!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book... May 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I have to say, Debra Anastasia's writing just does it for me. This is a great story and she makes me get all swoony over the bad-est of all the bad boys EVER...Seriously, Satan Jack is to die for - love him and you will too! And who doesn't love a foul mouthed angel...that's the best kind of angel. I'm so excited to see what happens next - I can't wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put it down! January 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Crushed Seraphim is about an angel named Emma who is thrown out of Heaven by another angel who is trying to take over. Her impossible job is to help Jason to see his self-worth and that is supposed to get her back into Heaven. One issue here is that I don't really like Emma. It is hard to reconcile her supposed kindness with some of her actions, such as her cruelty toward Jason. Her job is to make him see his humanity and get him to believe in Heaven, but she doesn't even treat him like a person. I guess no one is perfect. But you don't really have to like her to like the story. It is pretty fast-paced and there is a lot going on. It is so unpredictable, you just don't know what will happen next and I had a hard time putting it down to get some sleep. However, the ending is very abrupt and nothing is resolved, which was frustrating because it was so good I wanted more! I am highly anticipating the sequel and will probably read this one again first. Can't stop thinking about it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and creative December 2, 2011
By GraceDZ
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I had no idea what I was getting into when I started reading Crushed Seraphim. It wasn't until a few chapters in when I realized that the reader was going to get a taste of this author's more comedic work, which delighted me beyond belief! Where in the world did Ms. Anastasia came up with this imaginative and creative story where a bad angel runs havoc in heaven and where you will find compassion for the devil? There is suspense, action, moments where I busted out laughing, and even a love triangle. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this story! I very much look forward to the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sequel! October 4, 2011
By Melinda
Format:Paperback
I read another review saying that they didn't like the end because it just dropped off. Guess what, I am 99.999% sure there is a sequel on the way. I also highly recommend Debra's new book coming out mid November. Poughkeepsie is going to be amazing. I've read some already through other connections and am counting the days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Crushed Seraphim review September 2, 2011
By Amanda
Format:Paperback
I always wanted to read Crushed Seraphim when it was fanfiction but I sadly, never had the chance. When I learned it was being published and I ordered my copy I told Ms. Debra that I was going to take notes during every chapter, like reviews you'd post on FF.net - So I did and it was fun.

That aside, I loved the book so much. It made me giggle and swoon, and even shed a few tears. I found myself torn between which guy, Jack or Jason, I liked best. Now I just need to know what happens next. *holds hand out* Please ma'am, may I have some more?

I marked my "review" as containing spoilers since I did the chapter comments. I'm pasting those below:

3.0 out of 5 stars Loving the devil?
Was an okay read. It was not what I thought it was going to be. I don't care for some of the entanglements involved. Not sure if I will continue on.

More About the Author

Debra Anastasia is busy, just like every other mom. There's dinner, the dogs, the two kids, and her violent IBS--which is under control thanks to medication except for occasional multi-tonal farts. Her first love and crowning achievement is her thriving career as the weirdest mom on the block.

Her writing started a decent handful of years ago when--along with the animals and humans in her house--the voices of characters started whispering stories in Debra's ear. Insomnia was the gateway to plots that wouldn't give up, wouldn't let go. Now they stalk her everywhere. Halfway through making lunches, a twist takes hold and--fingers full of peanut butter--she finds somewhere, anywhere to write it down.

She's eternally grateful to Omnific Publishing, which has now published four of her books: two in the Seraphim Series and two in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series, as well as her novella, Late Night with Andres. That one is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!) She also very much appreciates her open-minded readers, who embrace everything she has to offer, with a focus on anti-heroes and bathroom humor.

Debra lives in Maryland with her family. You can find her at DebraAnastasia.com and on Twitter @Debra_Anastasia. But be prepared...
