Scary and Full of Supernatural.,
By
This review is from: Cry of the Cat (Goosebumps Series 2000, No 1) (Paperback)
The original Goosebumps series was full of suspense and events that almost seemed horrifc. However, in the majority of the books things were explained through some natural, rational, or plausible way and then the book ends with a Hitchcockian twist. If CRY OF THE CAT is any indication of what the Goosebumps 2000 holds, then things are a lot more spooky with a lot less rational explantation. The story of CRY OF THE CAT revolves around Alison. Alison is a young girl who is involved in theatre. One afternoon while on her way to play practice, she runs over a cat and kills it. At least she thinks she killed it. When she takes it back to the owners, it comes back to life. The same cat shows up again during play rehearsal and is crushed by a set piece on accident. But the cat comes back again and starts to haunt Alison. The cat, Rip, isn't like other cats and it has a mind of it's own. Spooky story filled with lots of interesting plot twists. Feels more frightening than some of the original Goosebumps.

I thought this was the best book I'd ever read.,

This review is from: Cry of the Cat (Goosebumps Series 2000, No 1) (Paperback)
CRY OF THE CAT is my favorite book of all time. I thought it was less scary and less exciting at first, but when I read it, it was even better than Monster Blood IV. So far I think GOOSEBUMPS:SERIES 2000 is better than regular GOOSEBUMPS. P.S. I can't wait to read BRIDE OF THE LIVING DUMMY.

Pretty Bad,

This review is from: Cry of the Cat (Goosebumps Series 2000, No 1) (Paperback)
I thought this book would be like the other goosebump series, but this has a horrible plot. I mean, she kills the cat over and over and then it wants to kll her. The ending is even worse. I suggest the old series of goosebumps books.

This story is about a girl name Allison who is drama in school. Well one morning she in a rush to get drama club on her bike. This cat runs out in the street & she doesn't mean to run him over. After that strange things start to happen like after she runs the cat over he gets up live, she latter learns the cats name is RIP. He keeps come after her, and changing her, and Rip never seems to die & wants his revenge I thought this is one of my favorite book I read so far by Stine. And I love the ending of this story wait to you read it. And ever chapter end exciting. I read this book less then one day I could not put it down. It's not super scary but it sure is entertaining & sort of funny.

This was the best Goosebumps book I have ever read in my life! You can never tell when the evil cat is going to attack the main character. Whenever it does, it's a big surprise. Lots of suspense. The big tornado of ghost cats is really awesome. Read the book for yourself and see!

The best Goosebumps yet!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cry of the Cat (Goosebumps Series 2000, No 1) (Paperback)
Excellent book. If the Goosebumps 2000 series books that follow are as good as Cry of the Cat, this series will be better than the original Goosebumps series. I recommend this book to all Goosebumps fans.

A girl named Alison wishes she never messed with a cat named rip in this story. Why! You have to read it to find out. I give this book 4 stars because it is scary and funny at the same time. It is a good book, but not one of R.L. Stine's best

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cry of the Cat (Goosebumps Series 2000, No 1) (Paperback)
I give this book a 5 star rating because goosebumps are stories that are supposed to scare you, right? Well guess what, it dose. I usualy don't get into a book like I did this one.Its pretty hard for me to get into in the first page, thats how good it is.I will tell you right now you will not what to put this book down. The 2000 series are alot better than the regular ones. But I have to say Deep Troble is a good one even though its one of the older ones.
This book has alot of suspense in the first chapter. With her bother screming bloody murder it gets you in to the book right then.It gets you into it really fast. This book ends in a good thing, but you don't want to put it down and you don't want the book to end. Just read the book if you want a scare!!!!!!!!!!! |
