Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile

Elmo notices that there's a sudden surge in missing cats in his neighborhood. When the cat he's cat-sitting disappears, his curiosity turns to worry--about Black Knight and his own cat, Shadow. He turns to his friends, the Teen Power Gang, to help solve the mystery. Rebecca Macauley creates an incredible array of voices and personalities, including an impressive Elmo. Earnest and thoughtful, he appreciates his new friends but not at the expense of Shadow. Macauley conveys the adolescent intensity of all the teens--the energy, snap judgments and slight triggers, sensitivity, and, ultimately, the caring of them all. Macauley builds the tension and worry in the mystery and follows the red herrings to the suspenseful end. W.L.S. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
