Review

"Lots of unexpected plot twists and for the most part the reader will not be able to foresee what's coming. The back cover states" "Be prepared to read well into the night" and I finished the book at 1:52 am rather than leave it until morning ..." Rebecca'sReads.com

"...gets more exciting with every plot twist and is simply irresistible; the audience will keep turning the pages until they reach the shocking finale." US Review of Books

"... a remarkable thriller that would be impressive if any established thriller writer had written it, but it's all the more impressive as it's Ralph Zeta's debut novel." Bestsellersworld.com

From the Back Cover

Cry For Justice takes readers inside one of the nation's most exclusive bastions of wealth; Palm Beach. The story follows hot-shot attorney Jason Justice as he delves into the affairs of a young girl who wishes to locate her missing step father, who by all indications may have not only staged her mother's suicide but may also made off with her family's fortune.

With little to go on except for a yellowing snapshot, Jason takes on the case not realizing his search for the missing man would eventually lead him to more victims and expose a link to a secret CIA relocation program and a trained killer who would stop at nothing to keep his crimes secret.

Format: Paperback
Successful Palm Beach lawyer Jason Justice specializes in divorce cases involving prenuptial agreements. Even when the agreement seems iron-clad, he can often find a loophole in it and ensure that justice is done. He's managed to survive and thrive even under the difficult economic conditions and times America is going through. But, can he survive a case that's brought to him by his girlfriend (Nora), whose friend's (Amy Kelly's) mother has been scammed out of millions of dollars, and was possibly murdered by the same man? The stunning, suspenseful, and page-turning debut novel, Cry For Justice, by Ralph Zeta will keep you reading until late into the night, and you won't want to put it down.

Life is pretty sweet for Jason Justice. He drives a Porsche, dates hot women, and lives in a yacht he bought from his father's estate after his father died of cancer. He still owes money on the yacht, but it is well worth it to him to have kept it in the family, and he has plans to travel with Nora on it to the Bahamas. Nora was one of his father's attending physicians two years before.

Gun-shy in part because of his own parents' miserable marriage, and in part from what he's seen as a divorce lawyer, Justice is very jaded about marriage, and feels that most marriages are travesties. He and Nora have lasted longer together as a couple than anyone else Jason's dated, and they have an agreement not to talk about marriage that both have held to and have seemed satisfied with.
However, a major storm prevents Jason's yacht from leaving, and that same evening, Nora brings up the subject of marriage and doesn't like Jason's negative reaction to it. He can't say honestly that he loves her, because he's not sure what it feels like to be in love with someone.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for review. This could have been a great five star effort, but after a week of contemplating how to write this review, I have to say it was just OK. Since other reviewers have sketched out the plot, I won't do so here. Instead, I will just tell you why I gave it a low rating. First, there were a TON of typos, misspelled words, and misused words, including using the wrong name (twice) for one of the characters. Spell check only works if you use it, and does not correct misused words. The second reason for my lower star rating is because there were several areas where the author got bogged down and wordy, seemingly just to lengthen the story as if he were being paid by the word. Finally, after dragging through 95% of the book, the author just raced through bringing everything together for the conclusion. If this is his first effort, not bad. I would hope he will take a little more care with future novels.

This is the first book from an author who I hope will continue to write thrillers. It is fast paced, descriptive, keeps your attention and is completely enjoyable.
Could have been better edited for sure but that is a minor problem. A lawyer with a soft heart for a damsel in distress and a tough bad guy looking out for himself....so who wins? The plot is good , you can almost see this being made for a TV series. This is a great weekend read, highly recommened. I was given this complimentary book to review.

I really enjoyed the main character in the story, Jason Justice. He is a man's man, but with plenty of sex appeal and manners to attract the ladies. When his friend/lover asks him to help a friend's daughter locate the man that stole her family's inheritance he declines. But being the softy that he is he agrees to meet with the girl and at least hear her story. Which leads to him agreeing to help the girl.
The search for this man leads Jason all over the swanky towns of South Florida and other exotic locales. The more rocks he turns over, the more questions he has. He soon realizes that finding this man is going to take all of his skills, as well as those of his best cohorts.

There are lots of plot twists and possible danger with the turn of each page. The story doesn't disappoint.

My only critique would be that some parts were a bit too "wordy" for me. But still a great read.

I dithered between a 3 or a 4 star for this novel. It has a good story line, I agree with others though that at times it was too wordy. The main character is well defined and definitely worth taking the time to write a sequel. Please next time have the book read before it goes public. The mix up with names was most confusing and there were too many mistakes, this was the only reason I gave it a low score.

I received a complimentary copy of this book.

I liked the storyline, however, sometimes it was a bit to wordy...so much description and detail that it took away from the story. Many typos and misused words. Good enough of a story to make me want to finish the book.
