Your chance to experiance the magic of Johnnie Ray, January 5, 2000

I listened to all five discs in one evening, couldn't stop. My teenage daughter was also captivated by the excellent collection beautifully re-mastered, the sound better than the originals. If you haven't experienced this artist's versatility, here's your chance to have five CD's containing a collection of his best. In some cases, more than one version of the same song, equally good, but different eg. "Give Me Time" and "Lotus Blossom", as well as the well-known duets with Frankie Laine and Doris Day. This boxed set is essential for any Johnnie Ray Fan and also contains an 85 page book with terrific illustrations and the text is masterful, written by Jonny Whiteside, the author of "Cry ... The Johnnie Ray Story". Very, very good buy and essential to any Ray fan's library.

this is johnnie ray at his best. the early stuff is as clear as it was in the50's on the original 45's.i especially liked the added recordings of his live performances. it brought back all the wonderful memories of seeing him in person.
