I fell in love with crying freeman when I lived in Japan ,but I could only get in Japanese. Now that it avaible in english, Wow! The love between freeman (Yoh) and Emu is so beauiful, most woman will love this action adventure. They portray all the characters three-dimensionally. I have flown in to Hong Kong,myself, and the attention to detail is uncanny. Any artist can appreciate this movie and hopefully most anyone could sit down and watch this and get some enjoyment out of it.

I followed Crying Freeman back in his comic days and the dvd movies are very true to the details of the art of the comic .Yes Freeman art and story has given me tears of joy on Dvd. I also recomment Golgo 13 if you like the Freeman saga.

I remember seeing this years ago on VHS and loved the story. So I was very happy to get it on DVD.
Not really any extras on the DVD other than a few other video previews.
Still a nice DVD.

This was an impulse buy after reading on it.... It was a wash as a buy though. The very begining setup of the plot is fantastic, and really elaboratly scripted. the beging set up what could have been one of the best Animes ever... it slips into the wierd in the middle of the first episode but remains a solid story. The first episode is fantastic till at the end where everyone is running around nude.... did I miss something? I'd give the first episode which is a quality hour of anime a four and a half stars.... the second episode was semi decent beginging, but then it became obscure with people running around naked, then everything was over scripted like when someone comes out of a sewer they say "hey, I just came out of the sewer"... It is a rediculous scripting and a rediculous story... I turned it off 3/4ths of the way through second episode... I lost it... it deteriated any desire for me to own any of the subsequent episodes. God almighty it may get worse.... so sad with such a great begining.

I am so happy this came to DVD! It's one of the best animes ever! I first saw this years ago and it's still one of the best! I love it!
