Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Crying At Teatime is the new album from Manchester's returning heroes Alfie. If The Flaming Lips had grown up in Salford listening to The Stone Roses, then Crying At Teatime is the record they might have made. Moreover, it is Alfie's best yet! It is their true definitive statement. Regal. 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best albums I've bought this year!, September 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love this album. Since I've bought it I've probably listened to it a good 50 times at least. I've only had it for a little over a month. I can't remember the last time I bought an album and listened to it that much. It seems like I used to do that more often when I was in high school, but now it seems to be getting rarer and rarer. My first album by Alfie was Do You Imagine Things, compared to that album I think Crying at Teatime is just as good if not better. The songs are a bit darker, but overall it's just as psychedelic as the rest of their albums. I'd do a track by track review, but I don't think that's necessary. If you have the money, by this album ASAP. I think this is the last of their albums that's still in print, so do what you must and get it! I can't say that I dislike one song on there, I'd say I'm definitely happy paying a little extra ($16+) for this album.

3.0 out of 5 stars Alfie may not be for me., March 19, 2008
This album is okay. I don't want to sway anyone away from it. I suppose that I may not be a fan of the band, but they are not terrible. Make your own jugement. I would not recommend it to anyone.
