Cryptic Collection is kind of like ICP's Forgotten Freshness. It is basically a collection a old and rare songs that otherwise would not have been released. It's very good thing that they did this because it would be a shame if some of these songs were never released. Let me go over the tracks.

1. Twiztid Intro 2: Very cool, alternate intro to Mostasteless. It is extremely wicked!

2. Whatthef*** Extra Crispy Mix: Remix of the orginal version. Has Madrox doing the backround part of the chorus instead of Blaze. Another cool thing about this is that it is not censored like the version on the Mostasteless re-release.

3. I Could: A very short song done solo by Mr. Bones a.k.a Jamie Madrox. It's good but not great.

4. Ain't a Damn Thang Changed: One of my favorates on this cd. This song was supposed to be on Mostasteless, but got cut out for some reason. This is one of the best songs on this cd.

5. Bad Dream: Another Madrox solo. I really like this one.

6. Somebody's Dissin' You: This is a great song and was once found on the original Mostasteless and Psychopathics from Outer Space. It is different though because Blaze Ya Dead Homie does an awesome verse in this one.

7. Blam!!: Solo Madrox song. It's already been on another cd. It's pretty mediocre, but you might like it.

8. Something Weird: Another one of the best songs on this cd. It's a Madrox solo and he totally rocks it. 5 Star Material!

9. Meatcleaver: This song has already been released on a few other cd's. Still pretty cool though. Features Myzery and ICP.

10. Dr. Jekly & Mr. Bones: Okay song. It's pretty oldschool, so I got respect for that.

11. Rendition of Reality: A little differnt from the other version, but it's still a great and well written song. Makes you thankful for cigarettes and the other small pleasures in this messed up world.

12. Put It Down: This is really a Blaze song. They just put it here to hype up the release of Blaze's EP that came out a few years ago. Still good though

A year after the classic "Mostasteless" album, Twiztid release a compilation album which consisted of scrapped Mr. Bones (Jamie Madrox's alias back in his House Of Krazees days) solo tracks and scrapped "Mostasteless" tracks, and a couple of other knick-knack tracks. It's basically Twiztid's version of ICP's "Forgotten Freshness" series. And this is right up there with "Mostasteless".

Jamie Madrox comes correct with his mindblowing versatile rap style. Once again proving he doesn't like doing the same thing twice. His style is something weird (pun intended) on one song he will rap about his love for comic book characters, the next song he will rap about being a gangsta. This is the reason I hold Madrox in such high regards, he is very versatile. As for The Monoxide Child, he is pretty absent on here, appearing on only 6 of the 12 tracks, due to Madrox's scrapped Mr. Bones tracks being heavily featured here. Monoxide still does an excellent job on the tracks he is featured on. His style is different from Jamie's, he doesn't typically rap about Batman, he is more gangsta rap rooted than his partner in rhyme. The lyrics get an A+ for the overall quality and creativity.

This album's production follows the similar formula from "Mostasteless". The beats are handled by the legendary Mike E. Clark, the Mr. Bones solo tracks are produced by former House Of Krazees rapper and producer The R.O.C., as well as additional production from Scott Sumner and Twiztid themselves. The beats have a very tripped-out, yet very eerie feel to them, which fits very well for their style. The production here is excellent, and while I think that "Mostasteless" is slightly better in the beat department, the beats here are still worthy enough of classic status.

Well, there you have it. If you're a fan of tripped-out hardcore rap, then this is for you. Although I gave it 5 stars, I'm still a little hesitant to call it a "classic", for a reason I can't quite put my finger on, but nonetheless, a great album. I recommend this to Juggalos and horrorcore rap fans. This compilation should satisfy your sicc listening pleasures. Peace.

I love this cd. The "Cryptic Collection" is the cd that introduced me to Twiztid. Although I've made many earnest attempts to find value in their music, I can't stand ICP and because of that I honestly haven't given any of their proteges half a chance. A friend of mine left this at my house and I put it in my player. I'm very surprised. I understand that having the ICP/juggalo affiliation provides a de facto loyal audience, but I wonder if this group wouldn't have been better off without the Juggalos, because their audience is limited because of their affiliation.

When I listen to songs like "Aint a Damn Thing Changed," "Something Weird," "I Could," and "Put it Down," I can't help but wonder why this group didn't have commercial/radio success. The beats are resonating and the lyrics are interesting, which make for a great listen. There's not a single dud on here, nothing you have to skip over (well for me there's one because ICP is on Meatcleaver - but a verse or two don't ruin the whole cd by any means). The more I listen to this, the more I appreciate it. Its quickly becoming one of my favorite rap cds. I'd recommend this to any juggalo and any casual rap fan as well.

I really like how some of the remixes/alternate versions turned out on this collection. I'd recommend it to any juggalo.

Twiztids First Cryptic Collection and its my fav of the 3. its got so many rare amazing songs from them. its great from start to finish but my fav is somebodys dissin you. if youre a juggalo then you gotta check this out if havent already. support real music and buy this album and any psychopathic album. they are the masters of the game. This cd was released by Twiztid so fans could see where they came from and get more familiar with them. This features scrapped songs from the Mostasteless album, unreleased Mr. Bones songs and even a song that Twiztid and Blaze recorded together when they were a group called I.S.I. (Infamous Superstars Incorporated) which was inbetween HOK and Twiztid. My personal favorites are "Bad Dream" and "Somebody Dissin' You."

This is the first of 3 cc's and it is a very good cd. alot of nr. bonez solo tracks but thats cool

Cryptic Collection is a great piece of work by twiztid,the best from them. The songs within this CD show how creative and how much talent Twiztid has(being majorly underrated in other eyes). This CD is one of my all time favorite CDs,and being its only a Collection of songs from the past/scraped,it really shows to be amazing.
