DARKEST LIGHT TO EVER SHINE,
By
This review is from: Cryptic & Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into (Audio CD)
This album is a powerful one. Consider it a positive contradiction, dark yet able to lighten. It is rare that we find an album that has this ability to provide darkness and yet an aspect of light in single tracks, and as an album as a whole.
I enjoy all the tracks. However, I maintain a high regard for: 13 I Know Your Face 09 The Visitor 03 Chimera Chimera 06 My Wave 07 Avatar 08 Pointy Little Teeth I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS DUO LIVE, AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

The Most Adventurist ELECTRO Album,
By Linda L**B "Hot Room" (London,U.K) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cryptic & Dire Sallow Faced Hoods Blast Off Into (Audio CD)
Here's a new provocative sound that clearly assembles the instinctive sounds of nature and science...Something from the electro-seen that turns a night to some significant long dream from the dark ages.A soundtrack of aincent mythologies that renders the screams of chimeras, rabbitfish, monstrosa into a contemporary blend of respective music combined with the wittiest lyrics that you may hear in an electro album.
With their latest release by gigolo records, these two adventurers managed this time to break the scale with a fresh and an immortal album that shows their ability to create a sound that totally reflects their believes in mythologies and absurdism.Something about this album strictly stops me from thinking about the vision of my future and demands me to meet myself in a spiritual world of darkness and suspence, giving you the ability to discover feelings for the first time and to know what's it like to be an observer by emigrating the metalized cities of nowadays. It pushed me so good to provide myself some unforgettable moments in places I barely cared about such as forests, landscapes and natural open ereas.WITH NO EXAGGERATION,after listening to this album...I packed some stuff, left all my appointments uncanceled, told nobody about what's going to happen and drove all the way to forest that concured me and this album which kept playing continously for almost a week...and that was some turning point for me....I know it seems silly for some people but the opportunity to do something new after being inspired is priceless in my opinion. The album is really refreshing and very charismatic with a character of darkness. It is a very warm welcome forwarded to all interesters of the electro genre. Some people discribed it as a dance album and yes it is some way...but yet,the majority of this sound is kind of low-key electro music with a high dose of bass.It can be basically defined as an avantgarde album with the combine of other contemporary genres such as experimental electronica and electro indie. For me,the genuine performance of crossover and their sharp philosophic lyrics are the two fingers that controlled this work and made some adventure out of it.. and to be honest,I can't decide which track is a favourite of mine. Disgrace chateau : The morning theme of the 16th century playboy mansion. Messages:The alarm of the first natural disaster. Chimera Chimera: A top rated on my Ipod. My Wave:This one made it to the finals in mandy dj lists including Hell/Founder of German techno label "International Deejay Gigolos." For the fans of Fischerspooners #1,Mount Sims,Yeah Yeah Yeahs,Chris & Cosey,Soulwax,Goldfrapp,Tiga and chicks on speed...expand your circle and join this remarkable duo to it.
