Book Description

November 11, 2008
This two-book title provides an introduction into the interesting world of cryptozoology, the study of ‘hidden’ animals (a.k.a. cryptids). Unfortunately, because these cryptids are not commonly sighted and (generally) no tangible proof of their existence comes to surface, the study of cryptozoology is viewed more as science fiction than that of a true science by some members of the scientific community. This work explains arguments from both sides of the debate and logically attempts to resolve the issue. Subsequently, an in-depth study of the Shunka Warak’in is presented. This unusual cryptid resembles a wolf/hyena hybrid and is known to steal dogs and slaughter livestock. The most recent sighting of this creature occurred in Montana in 2006 and became known as ‘The Creature of McCone County.’ This work reveals the history, initial findings, and possible origins of the Shunka Warak’in.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Quite possibly the worst cryptozoology book ever published!, January 23, 2009

This review is from: A Cryptozoological Study of the Shunka Warak'in (Paperback)
Save your money! Just google "Shunka Warak'in" and you'll learn everything that is in this book and probably more. The author makes lots of reference to the alledged mounted Shunka Warak'in, but never has a photo (then again, there are no photos in the book). He makes reference to Shunka Warak'in sighting is Illinois, Canada and elsewhere, but gives no details. No original research at all. You'll learn more from a 30 min internet search than you will from this book.
