I have never yet had the chance to listen to an Inon Zur composition until the Crysis soundtrack. Now, all I can say is that I can't wait and listen to the others. I have not actually played the game, but upon popping the cd in my stereo I can say that if the game is anything like the music, it is a true feast for the imagination. This music is absolute originality at its best. It combines choir, orchestra, and lost of unique sounds that include techno and electic guitar. Best of all, it has a recuring theme that is on par with that of Halo. I strongly recommend this music to anyone who appreciates excellent music.

After playing the game I realized that I must purchase the soundtrack, because this music is just awesome. It's a very nice addition to the game and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't even have the game. This is a great score! My favorite song is "Shotgun". I could be wrong, but I believe "Shotgun" and "Scavengers" should be together (one right after the other) because both songs are during the "Core" levels on the game. Not a big deal, just thought I would mention that fact.

great soundtrack for a great game, my favorite song is track 15, "Guardians". This song was used in a promotional video for the game, if it had not been used over the video, I probably would not have purchased the game.

At first glance of the cover, you might think Crysis is a techno oriented soundtrack... You'd be way off if thats what you're expecting. Crysis is a very orchestral invovlved soundtrack that is on par with most big budget action flicks. A previous reviewer compared this music to Halo's soundtrack but I don't really agree. Halo is much more majestic and fantasy in sound. Crysis is more in the universe of sound to something like Lost's soundtrack. Anyways, if you enjoyed the game then odds are you'll dig this soundtrack quite a bit. The only flaw is there is some music from the game missing it seems. Also, I believe the Crysis add-ons contained new music as well... A second disc easily could have been thrown together to include everything. All in all though, big recommendation.
