I have been anxiously awaiting this young lady's album, and I am so glad they FINALLY got it together. There are really some interesting songs on it that not only show a vocal range, but a style versatility that is becoming more prevalent in gospel music now. My absolute favorites are #1 I desire more, and #2 What if. Most of the tracks are cool, but the first two spoke to me IMMEDIATELY. The cd has a nice range of music to listen to while doing different things. It has "driving in your car" songs, " on my way to church" songs, "that's my jam" songs, and the others are for worship. I am not ready to call it quits on Ms. Akin. I'm ready for the next cd Crystal. Keep them coming.

This is a great album. Now, if you like that traditional "Hold My Mule, I'll see my mama in heaven" kind of gospel, then you won't like it. This CD has moments where you can just praise God. It has moments where you can ride down the street with it blasting. It's a CD that your kids will listen to. Her songs aren't real churchy sounding songs but, they are still beautiful. It's beautiful just beautiful.

This Album is a wonderful work of musical praise and Christian worship. I am increasingly appreciative of the modern gospel producers who understand the fine line between great praise and great music. Crystal Aikin has truly set out to please God with this effort. Congratulations young lady on joining the ranks of great gospel artist with this first,(of many)collections.

If you don't like this CD its probaly because you aren't trying to truly appreciate the true diversity of Ms. Aikin's gift. She is a consumate minstrel, and her sincerity shows in each song. Flexing her contemporary pipes, she handles the Kim Burell flavored "I need more" (written ASAPH Ward of course)skillfully, with true Spiritfilled passion. She gives you Neo-soul Gospel on "Lord You reign forever", and "Turn to Him",(they stay on repeat in my ride). Then you get taken into worship on "Even Me" with just her clear as a bell but rich voice and strings, reminiscent of Yolanda Adams. Another notable is "A song about Jesus" contributed by Kirk Franklin showcasing her agility and ability to deliver message without heavy handing her voice constantly. Rarely are freshman offerings this enjoyable from artists who win these kind of talent shows. I hope her second CD is a live recording with DVD, now that would be a real treat. If you love Kim Burrell, Karen Clark, Kierra Sheard and Yolanda Adams you'll enjoy this CD. The only reason it gets four stars is because there are only 10 songs.

Have been awaiting this CD since "Sunday Best" ended. It does not disappoint. Crystal's voice is amazing and she sings with the annointing.
Makes you feel like you have been to church, great vehicle to usher you into praise and worship. Go Girl!

This project has some really awesome songs on it. Crystal Aikin has a very anointed voice. I especially love the first one on here. This project will encourage & inspire you any day !

Crystal's voice is more than amazing. This CD has been anticipated for over a year and is certainly worth the wait. I'm glad she did not give us everything she has on her debut CD....she left some for the next 10. Great job Crystal!

I love this CD! Crystal's voice is incredible -- straight anointed! I have been anticipating this release since last year, and I am not disappointed!

Clearly Verity missed the mark with this young woman's anointing by giving her songs that did not fit her gift. I can only say I enjoyed listening to 3 songs on this cd: 1, 4 and 10. My hope is that people will still buy the cd and they'll get it right the next time. Crystal is a worshipper......

This cd contained songs that touched my heart. The sound quality was good and Crystal's voice and range shows well. I look forward to more offerings from her.
