I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in crystal healing. It was informative as well as delightfully light-hearted and entertaining . For anyone who has felt a little burnt-out or overwhelmed by other crystal books, this will be a breath of fresh air. Jennifer Dent explains the different ways that quartz can be utilized to shift subtle energies in oneself, or in the environment. She also explains some practical ways to utilize the energy of quartz in gardening, dreaming practices, divination, and meditation (just to name a few). Her husband Rik also lends his expertise to this book in the second chapter giving a humorous, scientific account of the "hows" and the "whys" of particle physics (i.e. some concepts similar to those in What the Bleep!). Never before have I read such a complete and attention-grabbing explanation. Rik takes these somewhat boring scientific theories to a whole new level of fun. It's like being on a quantum physics thrill ride. All in all, Crystal Clear: A Guide to Quartz Crystal turned out to be a great read for the beginner or the expert alike. I highly recommend it to those just starting to learn about crystal energy, but also to those who are looking to read something new and a bit out of the ordinary.
