received on time, safe packaging. Could have used some kind of instruction on how to open the battery pack but I did figure it out.

These lights are pretty and very bright, but only when you have fresh batteries loaded up. We bought them to put in our windows for the Holidays. After perhaps 8 hours of use (spread over three nights), they needed new batteries. So if you want to use them for a one time event, they'll be fine. But if you want to have them on night after night, go with a plug into the wall style.

I bought two boxes to test them out. I put the first one in a 10" lantern that I bought here at Amazon for $6 (see photo). Within two minutes I had a nifty little night light for the baby. Or I could turn on the strobe function and put it in the teenager's room to go with his hard rock music.

The other string will go into a Moroccan star for the middle child's room.

Each strand is almost 8' long and the lights are the size of marbles. You have three light options but I'll use them on static setting to make the lights soft and relaxing.
