This game is cute and easy to play. My 4 year old loves squids and this game is easy for him to play. I do wish that the description said that there were only a few levels for free. He was very frustrated when he couldn't unlock the next level. I didn't know that he could only play up to a point. The only other thing is that we didn't know what qualified as the end of the level. We thought that filling the meter did it, but then it started over again. Only after awhile did we discover that there was a "finish line"of sorts. That would have been nice to have at the beginning of the game too.

I got this for my grand kids and I tried it first and it is so adorable! They love it and its not too easy, which is a good thing. It presents them with a challenge and helps promote use of their motor skills, this developer did a great job!! For once here is a clean fun game that I feel is good for any age but very appropriate for children. Thank you Crystal Entertainment!!

Reminds me of Echo the Dolphin from way back when. :)
I just completed the game. Played nonstop from purchasing the full version. I loved it. :) The graphics were beautiful, the music too. And I loved having creatures to discover. They really made the game feel full. You can go back & replay any level if u want to improve your score. It Has a good replay value as well because of the collectibles and point system. It was long enough, but I still wish it were longer. I really enjoyed it. The only complaint I have is the ending. It feels unfinished. I'm not going to give any spoilers, unlike some reviewers who dont care if they ruin the experience of a game just because they want to complain. But the ending doesnt have anything I could spoil anyway, & that's the problem. It didnt provide any closure. I still recommend the game though for its fun game play, beautiful graphics (which should be called artwork in my opinion), & the relaxing, unobtrusive music. I will probably reset my progress so I can play again. Maybe I missed something in the last level that gives a better ending to the game. Either way I bet will play this one many times.

Alphie is a game promoted for children but everyone will enjoy playing it. I like that it is easy enough for little ones to understand and maneuver and yet becomes more challenging as the game progresses. The only reason the little ones needed me was to read the notes of random facts which highlight the differences and interesting tidbits of the sea creatures throughout the game. That alone was interesting for this granma.

Well, I just got this game and it was cute and entertaining at first, but now its a bit boring. It seems to be just about your squid eating.....I haven't seen any sharks yet but I'm keeping the app until I get bored of it. The app is pretty good. The music is corny, but alphie is adorable. App takes up battery very quickly.

I don't usually purchase games for Kindle for myself, so when it became my job to get my kids through the sharks I was a bit disappointed. The graphics are lovely (excluding the dying) and the music is so relaxing (even in death--stupid sharks).
