5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Puzzle/Action Game, August 27, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This review is from: Crystal Mines (Video Game)
Crystal Mines is an interesting oddity in the Nintendo NES line-up. It contains 100 levels that feature a mixture of puzzles and action mechanics. The ultimately goal of every level is to collect all the crystals to open a portal to the next level. While this might sound easy, it typically is anything from it.

The game starts off relatively easy as it slowly introduces you to the mechanics of the game. Over time the levels naturally progress in difficulty as your skill level gradually improves. Levels are either pure puzzle levels, mixed puzzle/action levels or pure action levels where you frantically trying to survive. Overall there is a nice mixture of speed and difficulty to meet the demands of almost any player.

Fortunately there is a level select option that allows you to skip ahead to where you left off, in case you can't complete the game in one setting. The only question you have to ask yourself is, "Are you ready for the challenge that is Crystal Mines?"

This is one of the best video games you can play on the NES system.
finish all 100 phases to complete. Game starts fairly easy & gets
more difficult.
