Nice Guide,
This review is from: Crystal Prescriptions: The A-Z Guide to Over 1,200 Symptoms and Their Healing Crystals (Paperback)
I've enjoyed working with the Crystal Prescriptions Guide. The list of symptoms is wide and varied, and most have more than one stone/crystal listed as the prescription. The only downfall comes from the ambiguity in that list, which will make it harder for a novice to utilize. It is true that certain crystals work well together and that others shouldn't really be combined, but that is not the depth of this book. I would recommend complementing this source with The Book of Stones, for example, which does give a nice overview of what other stones may be positively combined for a more effective treatment. There may be additional sources for that same purpose, but I am as yet unaware of any. Overall, I highly recommend this book as a great reference tool for the advanced crystal therapist or neophyte alike.

I must say I was a little disappointed with this one. I found it hard to read with the purple writing. And the set out was a little bit annoying sometimes for example when there are a lot of subheadings you can forget what the original heading was and find yourself shaking your head. I must say that there are a lot of areas covered, ranging from ailments to emotions to spiritual and so forth, this format does not allow for a more comprehensive list in a lot of these areas. This book could be useful to have on your shelf.

First off let me say that Judy Hall is my favorite author for my growing library of gemstones and crystal healing. I recommend all of her books. This book is simple and easy to use, just look up the problem and she recommends the appropriate stone or crystal. The beginning of the book is very helpful too. I am just now expanding my knowledge of crystal healing so I have alot to learn--I like what I have learned from her so far, easy to understand and lots of choices.

I was so excited when I saw this online- "great" I thought, "now I can put to use the crystals I've been collecting."
How wrong I was! The only good thing about this book is the TITLE!. The so called "prescriptions for over 1200 ailments" isn't a "how to, with instructions for a prescription, for each ailment or condition" it's merely a LIST of crystals along with an extremely short (mostly one or 2 words) description! No info on where to put the crystal, how long, or what time of day or moon phase is best or anything like that. The title is VERY misleading. This is at best, a reference list. I learned NOTHING about how to use crystals as prescriptions for healing. When you get a prescription from the Dr. it lists the strength, amount, time, duration, frequency & other drugs or foods to avoid while taking. This book is seriously lacking on many levels. I have gotten more indeapth info from a FREE pamphlet given out at a crystal store.

I just got this book today and when I first saw it I must say a felt a twinge of disappointment in seeing how small it is. But there is a lot of info packed into a small space...chock full of information and an easy read for me. This is a great addition to your crystal library.

I really like this book! Her other books dwell on which gemstones are for what healing powers. This book actually tells you how to make the remedies and then with each ailment it tells you whether to use the direct or indirect method. Don't get me wrong her newer books are great as well but, if you are a beginner in Metaphysics than this book is a great place to start.

I find this book good to use as a quick reference when doing healings. It is helpful when I want to give a healing session that I haven't had a lot of time to prepare for.

If you want to use Crystals for healing, and can only get one book -- this is it. Simple, straight-forward, easy to use, gets to the point quickly, and has instructions that don't take a month to read and still longer (much) to feel competent to use. It's a little book that takes you straight to what you want to know. That's all most of us have time for these daze. I have a huge book I can recommend, with all the info you could want, with pictures -- and wonderful as it is, takes ages to mull thru unless you do a workbook on your own with headings for each disorder. This is that workbook -- and more.
