Well the travel case is pretty Cool and the whole Partial combo. I was hoping for a complete ready to setup and fish Combo kit with fly line backing and tippet material. But is a great partial combo kit. The fly box is a nice addition but pointless without some flys. If i were the manufacture of this kit i would include a few flies in the fly box some Fly line backing and some tippet material to tie to the end of the leader. So only three items are not included that would make this a True ready to go fish combo kit.

I'm sure after i have gotten the rest of the materials needed to set it up it will be an excellent start to my fly fishing adventures. :-)

The combo set comes in a compact and padded case. Fly rod is 8 ft length with 8 sections that break down for storage in pockets. For use with 4/5 line weight. Reel is single action with adjustable drag, but expect to use rim control if bringing in a big one. Only quality issue is that one guide on tip section was mounted incorrectly. I am handy so was able to remove the guide and re-wrap - looks good as new. Overall a good deal for travel set - I plan to use on upcoming canoe trip on Buffalo River in Ozarks.

I have purchased two of these travel flyrod kits and intend to purchase several more. The kit lacks three things backing, tippet and flies. The rod casts better than almost any other rod out there. The line doesn't float well but casts very smoothly. The fit and finish is lacking and the reel is no frills, but it definately serves the intended purpose. I have caught hundreds of fish on this combo from Trout and Panfish to Pike and Bonefish. It fits easily into a carryon and can be ready to fish anywhere.
