Reduces Acne scars...when used for 4 weeks/once week.,

This machine was an obvious investment at the price, but I've always loved getting dermabrasion because it reduced my acne scaring. This machine helps to reduce and even eliminate the acne scaring. You are supposed to use one capsel (sp?) a week, but since I don't use one up every week (you'll probably use half) I just use the rest up the next week. You only use it once a week or it is too drying which you can tell from the flakiness that happens in 4 days (but not so much as the peel). It also closes my pores. My skin is like a babies bottom. It's awesome and totally worth it. I haven't bought replacement capsels yet because i've only used it for 3 weeks...but I think I will wait another month before firing it up again. You shouldn't microderm too often. I don't get paid by the company for this review. I just wanted to share this with others.

Supplies are costly, suction creates red blood vessel mini bruises that photorejuvination heals at a cost of $250.00 If you, like me, already bought it, you can refill empty capsules with powder you buy at about $12.oo/oz which is 4 or more full applications. Simply rip off the rubber tip of their capsule, without ruining the cut on the top, fill it with "cheap" powder , and then reattach rubber cap with a thin strip of scotch tape. It seems to work! When the collection container fills up, simply shake it out. Perhaps, you can find a more efficient way,but I didn't. I ended up cutting my monthly cost from 39.99 to less than $10.00.

Good investment,

I actually stumbled upon this product while in LA - at a dermatologist office. I tried it in person first and was impressed at how strong the suction was for a consumer product. They offered to let me come back as often as I wanted for the next 30 days to continue to use it on their dime. Since I was not local I decided to give it a 30 day in home trial. I used it at home with ease. Like another reviewer said, one generous use only used half of a capsule. The next week my sister was visiting and she tried it with me and loved it. So much so, that she bought one. The following week my sister from NY was visiting. She tried it and liked it too and is now contemplating a purchase.
I used to get monthly microdermabrasion but the cost really adds up, so I do it infrequently now. I was skeptical that this machine and the crystals could really be as effective as the real deal. But having used it for 2 months now, I am sold. My skin is softer, fresher and clearer. At age 45 my skin is in pretty good condition but was beginning to look a bit blotchy. Since using this my skin looks much improved - I have gotten several compliments on how good my skin looks. I am very happy to have an affordable way to "treat" myself to taking even better care of my skin. Living for years in So Cal, I have been very conscious of good skin care. But this allows me to take it up a notch at a very affordable price. If you appreciate the results of a professional microdermabrasion session, you will be impressed with the Crystalift machine. I would definitely recommend it. (And I do not work for anyone affiliated with the product, I just wish I had some reviews to read before I bought it!)

Don't waste your money,

I have large pores that clog easily, and have always struggled to find something that helps. I've done laser skin resurfacing, photofacials, professional microdermabrasion, etc etc. I saw the Chrystalift and did some research on it. I'm a good researcher and a skeptic, and I don't spend money recklessly. I wonder now why I bought this thing. I was suckered. On their website they have quotes like, "stars are finding this 'face-lift in a box' so effective, they're opting to use it instead of Botox." That's from InTouch magazine. And then, "A single microderm treatment costs as much as this entire machine" from NBC. The website calls it an "age fighting machine" and says it "softens wrinkles" and "fades age spots."
Well, at my over-45 age, all those things are important. So I bought it, and have now used it for several months. And I can tell you - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I kick myself every time I think of how easily conned I was. I WANTED to believe their claims. But the truth is, you can get the same results from the Neutrogena dermabrasion brush at about $15. To add insult to injury, the refills are $10 each. They should be about $2 each. And they know that, because they make a huge point of saying that if you use any other crystals in the machine, they'll cancel your warranty. My guess is that they're going to have to lower their refill price pretty soon or they'll have a consumer revolt on their hands. They're no doubt hoping they can do what Gillette has done - charge outrageous prices on refill cartridges. Sorry, Crystalite - I don't think it will work for you. DON'T be fooled. Save your money for something else instead of wasting it on Crystalite. Instead, get a cheap dermabrasion brush and get the same results. Then you won't suffer the regrets that I do. One more note: If you already have the Crystalite, at least save yourself some money and order aluminum oxide crystals online for a tiny fraction of the price!!! If I bother to use the machine again, that's what I'll do.

Not really the bang for the buck!,
This review is from: Crystalift Microdermabrasion Machine (Health and Beauty)
the machine is good, but the wand clogged up twice and I did get it replaced but it continues to be a problem. Initially, it worked great. After about 6 months it did not seem like I was getting results. Overall, I was disappointed. I still have the machine but no longer use it.

I always wanted a home dermoabrassion product. I like taking care of my skin so I tried many things. This one is doing its job very well and the price is very good. the only thing that I did not like has nothing to do with the product itself but with the after sale service. After I got this product I went on vacation so I open it on my way back (few weeks later) one of the forms inside the product says that I will have one year guarantee ONLY if I send the form between the 10 days of purchase. shouldn't I get the year guarantee even if I don't send the form at all?

Gorgeous Skin with Crystalift,
By Lee Mellott "Skin Care For Wrinkles" (Frederick, Maryland) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Crystalift Microdermabrasion Machine (Health and Beauty)
I own several skin care websites and was excited to discover the Crystalift. Microdermabrasion can really benefit the skin and to be able to save time and expense and do it at home is a huge plus. The Crystalift is a great product. Crystalift has taken the professional system and scaled it down for the home user. Compact but very effective at exfoliating the skin. The system is the only one on the market that uses the same technology as the professional systems. The unit comes with a full instruction booklet, a DVD and Crystalift crystals. It is simple to use. Just pop a Crystalift capsule into the machine. Turn the machine on and move the wand across your skin. You can adjust the settings to your skin sensitivity.
As you move the wand, the tiny crystals pelt against the skin refining it. With just one use your skin will feel smoother and fresher. After rinsing off any residue from the crystals, follow up with an application of your favorite skin cream. One session lasts about 10 minutes and you can use the machine on your face, neck, neck, hands and other parts of your body. The more you use it, the better your skin will look. It can help with pore size, fine lines, acne scarring, discoloration and more. It is really like a mini spa treatment at home. Your skin will glow. It is important to follow up with a good sunscreen as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight after use. Though you may experience a mild pink glow after use, there is no down time. One of the nicest factors about the machine is it is so convenient. You can enjoy it in the privacy of your own home in minutes. No need to take time out for an appointment at the spa. In addition it is very cost effective. The price of the machine runs about what one to two microdermabrasion sessions would cost depending on your area. This machine can save you hundreds of dollars over what a series of microdermabrasion treatments would cost. After using it for the first time, my skin felt incredible - soft and smooth. This only gets better with each session. Your skin will love this. Highly recommended! Just an important note: I discussed the crystals with a representative at the company. They said that these crystals are designed for the machine and will give optimal results. The use of other crystals may clog the machine. In addition the crystals are medical grade. Using them with the capsule disposal system is very hygienic. ~ Lee Mellott
