Absolute Junk,

Way too many flaws for me to mention, too small, cheap mount, frustrating to use. It turns one off to astronomy rather than exite the observer.
Avoid at all costs! Get at least a 90 mm objective lens with an equatorial mount with slow motion controls. You will pay 300 bucks for a good starter scope. The rest are junk and will take up space in your closet. JIm "Konedog" Koenig, Astronomy Buff

Zero customer service,

I will probably catch flack for writing a review about a different model, but part of what I use to evaluate a decision to spend money on a product is to find out about the customer service of a company. Maybe you do the same. So here goes (potential flack and all).
I purchased a Cstar 12-36 50mm spotting scope a few months back. Mostly for the bundled camera mount to try some digiscope photography. Quality of the scope was marginal, camera mount was ok with modifications. Maybe a three star value. After a few hours usage, the zoom control began to rotate incorrectly as obviously something inside came loose. Box states "Limited lifetime warranty" with phone number. I figure before messing with problem myself I should send scope into them (along with $10 warranty fee). Look, box even has an 800 number! I have been listening to a very polite voice on an answering machine about a dozen times over the last month informing me that they are sorry they missed my call, but will get right back to me! Left messages with phone, email response requests. Apparently they are too busy to respond. Don't think I'll send my scope and money to folks whose customer service seems unable to "get back with me". Just my two cents about what Cstar calls "Customer Service".
