CAD is everything that's wrong with the comic industry in the United States - it's ugly, bland, relies entirely on copy-paste, and is trying desperately to rip off Family Guy.

The premise involves an incompetent man-child who harasses and endangers all he comes in contact with. This idea has been used before and has worked (Futurama and The Simpsons) mainly because the fools are innocent at heart and want to help. It also helps when the rest of the cast is fun and incompetent in their own rights.

Ethan, the man-child of CAD, character lacks the charm of Homer Simpson and Phillip J. Fry. He's an abusive drunk, a cruel and neglectful husband, and a worthless, sniveling loser. The supporting cast is only there to clean up his messes and dote on his every need.

What bothers me the most about all of this is that Tim Buckley, the creator of the series, appears to expect his readers to love Ethan and see him as a hero, if not a role model. Is this what America wants, a repulsive imbecile with long-suffering slaves to act as his parents? I believe so.

After reading the first guy's horrible review, I felt the need to step in and give a review of my own considering I own both volumes as well.

Ctrl+Alt+Del (known as CAD) is, and never has been, a comic set out to compare or copy any others. The characters from creation are unique and the personalities compliment each other.

There are comics out there that depict real life people in real life situations, but I'll be honest, that's not what I want when I turn to a comic; much less a webcomic. I want humor, silly, outlandish, and sometimes I enjoy the twisted-silliness. I like to smile and get a chuckle out of the antics Ethan gets himself and his friends into. I think the humor is spot on and hilarious. CAD appeals to maybe a specific but broad range of people, and those who aren't in that range maybe don't get it.

As for the art, Tim Buckley began this comic 8 years ago and as most every artist out there, you can see a vast difference between the art style from the first comic, to their modern day one. The art in the beginning is just the stepping stone of where he's come to today. Feel free to check out his current comics on his website to see what I mean. To me, it doesn't diminish the overall quality of the comic, which is why I'm a fan of his work.

Most of all, I'm happy to see these works published in a full page softcover book. I will definitely be purchasing the following volumes and look forward to them!

Everything about this is terrible. It's unfunny, poorly drawn, and not even looking at when it's free online. Don't purchase.

If you video game nerds have been looking for a comic to really laugh to then you've come to the right place.

I've followed this cartoon for many years now, and it is always a riot

This book is a great collection of the first works of this cartoon and when i saw it was for sale i couldn't resist buying it.

The book is hilarious, i would recommend it to anyone.

I have been a fan of the Ctrl-Alt-Del comic for almost three years and have followed it up to the current day. While I approve of this publication of the popular online comic series (as I imagine it will continue to include the almost eight years that this comic has been in existence), the comic is easily available online and paying the full price for this relatively short collection seems difficult to justify. However, if you are a hardcore fan or a comic collector with the time and money to devote to the first print publication of the enormous series, it is a worthy buy.

Also, check out the animated series that originated from this comic; it gives the characters much stronger personalities and different interpretations than expected. [...]
