These guys should have been huge. They had "it"-- the raw emotion, the guitar that sent chills up and down your spine, the sense of humor and the energy of the time.I bought this album about 4 years ago, never heard it before, and it's actually one of the most played of my Sidewinders albums. Great songs, great guitar, a great rock and roll album. If you like "Witchdoctor," you'll definitely like this one.

2:00AM Congress Street,
By Julie "Julie" (Pawtucket, RI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cuacha (Audio CD)
The tiny tap room was overflowing with underground songwriters.Creative Juices were bubbling and the energy of that time was like no other in Tucson. Frank was so beautiful. I was sooo in love. Terry Pollock and his group were there. Arkie and Spider,.. Jack poured the drinks. The tap room in the summer of 1987 was like an international suction cup for songwriters. 4th Ave was dark. Arkie took us walking and we stopped at a warehouse to burn one. Pam and Missy disappeared every Friday night at 2:00am from the tap room. We finally went driving around to look for them and we spot them kissing under a tree. OHHHHHHHHH they are lovers???!! Rich Hopkins and Dave Slutes were inseparable. They stood up to the bar. David had tailored long blonde hair. My friend gave me a cassette tape with a couple of their songs. It was a very exciting time. Huge watermelons were thrown off the roof of Hotel Congress in celebration of July 4th. Some guy with black rimmed glasses was always there working the door. Frank would say "This city is a secret". Don't tell anyone about it.
