Mana is the best Spanish language group that I have heard. The lyrics go far beyond silly love songs (sorry, McCartney) and the music is an interesting and pleasant mix of rock and pop. I use Spanish lang music to learn Spanish, and Mana is ***by far*** my favorite. I only wish they included lyrics in English as well as Spanish, though I have found some English lyrics on the internet. Keep it up, Mana!!!!

Somehow, someway this CD ended up in my collection. Honestly, I have no idea how this CD came to me. Just before I made it a coaster or a mini-frisbee I decided to put it in the player... Wow, MANA blew me away! This esquisitly made album is truly wonderful. The title cut Cuando Los Angeles Lloran is a marvelous song. In fact, nearly every one of these songs gets me humming along. Since don't know a word of Spanish I let the melody and the fine performances carry me along. MANA has a fan in the Great White North (Minnesota). Please don't let a language barrier disuade you from giving this great band a listen.

I highly recommended this CD. It is one of those few albums created as an album not just a collection of songs, like Unforgettable Fire by U2 where you can listen to the album straight through and get a complete experience wholly separate from listening to a particular track. It's something uncommon these days since the advent of the easy skip and shuffle CD. This album is complete in that the music alone will move you through it's emotions, but the lyrics will take you through a history that can wow you like a great book. So if you don't know Spanish here's a good way to start learning. You don't know what you're missing. ;)

I picked this CD up while stationed in Panama City, Panama in 1996. I've been listening to this band for 10 years and I still love them. This CD is like their "SGT Pepper's", when the Beatles went through their metamorphosis from a pop type band to a serious rock and roll band. Just like with the Beatles, their older stuff and newer stuff are great. I'm not comparing them to the Beatles, but this shows that the band wasn't afraid to deviate from what made them popular. There are some really amazing tracks on here like "No ha parado de llover" and "siempre el amor" I've seen this band live in Bogota, Colombia and Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. Superb live band, and I cannot believe that with the huge influx of latin music over the last 6-8 years like Shakira, Ricky Martin and Paulina Rubio, that these guys haven't taken off in the States. They even did a cover of Led Zeppelin's Fool in the Rain that is awesome, and is on the International version of "Encomium: a tribute to Led Zeppelin" Definately give this band a try, and don't let the language Barrier get in the way. Also, pick up Mana en vivo, great live concert and superb sound, although this was recorded before "Cuando los angeles lloran"

What can I say, Mana is a great group. This CD is not as refined as Suenos Liquidos, but still uses those great latin sounds. Second song on the CD, "Selva Negra" is awesome and the lyrics are important. Mana started a jungle conservation group by the same name, Selva Negra (Black Jungle). If you understand spanish, the lyrics will have a lot of meaning and the beats are grrreat. Buy this CD

I,m writing from Friedburg,Germany, I,m in the ARMY and I think this group is the sh$$. I have all there cd's back home in Guatemala but unfortunately they don't sell MANA here, if anybodies reading this out there, you need to hook me up,I need some music that will take me back to my latin roots.

This was the first Mana CD that I bought, and it is a very good one. The songs deal with the problems that are facing society today, from teen pregnancy to the rain forest. The songs and melodies are easy to listen to, and the listener will not be disappointed.

Mana has had the best CD's I have ever heard. This particular one is inspiring a the same time it focuses on the world's problem we been dealing with lately, especially in the United States. Ana is a great songs- it tells a story about a teenage pregnant girl, this focuses on the high teenage pregnancy it's going on. Another songs that reveals the world's greatest problems is drugs this is El Cerdo- this songs talks about how drugs can affect your life as weel as your family and society. Overall Mana is a great role model for young people. Thank you Mana!!!

Creo que Cuando los Angeles Lloran es el mejor disco de Maná hasta el momento, las letras dejan mensajes valorables. A mi parecer se destaca la sensibilidad y el cuidado conque tocan su música. Instrumentalmente también son excelentes.
