This CD is an instrumental work featuring some Cuban classics and a killer jam session. Play it softly and you will enjoy it. Crank it up and you will enjoy it.

This is one of the finest Cuban ("Latin" if you insist) music records you will ever hear--great, and I mean great, music and no annoying lyrics to screw it up.

The players are some of the best known performers in the genre, who happen to live in the West Coast.

The recording quality is also very good (as you would expect from the Narada label). You can hear everything clearly.

a true delight for any music lover, specially if you are looking for that jazzy touch. Cuba L.A. is the recopilation of old cuban songs, made in America by a group of talented latin musicians. The mix of the cuban mambo, as well as other rithmic tunes, with our American jazz show that music not only ignore politics, but rather demands comunication between cultures. A must!, in any jazz true afficionado's collection.

I only decided to give this cd a try because I found out Alberto Salas worked on it. I have admired his work on Raul Malo's "Today" and Los Super Seven "Canto". His piano style is very fresh and exciting...every musician on this cd is his equal! What a great band. The music is gorgeous, the production is excellent.
Can't really pick a favorite track as all are amazing!

I HEARD THIS WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT,THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY GOOD....IT SOMEHOW GOT LOST......SO I GOT IT AGAIN...IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH IT IMPROVED SINCE THE THE LAST TIME I HEARD IT...I WAS NOW LISTENING TO SOMETHING FAMILAR..YET I WAS LISTENING TO SOME STUFF I HAD NEVER HEARD BEFORE.... I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED THE SECOND TIME AROUND....WOUND UP BUYING CUBA LA TWO...BUT THE MAGIC WAS LOST THE LATIN SALSA JAZZ COMBINATION WAS TOOO JAZZY..BUT CUBA LA ONE IS PURE MAGIC....

This CD is the best Caribbean music that money can buy in CD form. The tracts are well organized. Perfect CD for a dance party.

It's been a while since someone has sang the praises of this album. This is a timeless work. It never gets old no matter how many times it is played. I've had this album for 5-6 years and I pull it out every summer. Great music for boating or BBQ's on the deck. I promise you will love it. Something everyone should have in their collection.

it's a record that you can really dance to. if you like latin dancing, or if you are of cuban heritage, you won't be able to keep your feet on the floor.

A toda persona que le guste la musica latina,sobre todo la buena para oir y bailar,le recomiendo este CD.Aunque no quiera bailar el ritmo te obliga.Felicito a todos los que tuvieron que ver con la realizacion de el.

Even for someone who does not know anything about music, it is such an experience to enjoy this wonderful music. Definitily, you have to buy it.
