Emanuelle Beart is gorgeous, beyond doubt. Toned skin, elegant figure, finely sculpted features - there are many ways for a lady to look lovely, and hers is way up on the list. Then, the photographer sets her clean form and lithe curves against an interior of peeling paint and decay, something that has worked well for Jan Saudek, among many others. Lancrenon's photography comes across, in part, as an essay on the timelessness of human, organic beauty versus the transience of brick and stone.
A feeling comes through, one that I find troubling, that this lovely woman is held, imprisoned, in some decaying slum. More than just loneliness, it's easy to read a sense defeat with repect to unseen captors. Although that feeling offers wide range to explore, I far prefer imagery where the model's happiness (or at least consent) dominate the mood. Then, these pictures often show uncertain focus, or sharp focus on some odd detail rather than the model, for example an odd spot on the foreground bedspread. I just never got the hang of how the contrast of sharpness and blur contributed to the images' message, if in fact that was intentional at all. It takes more than just a beautiful model to create images that appeal to me. I prefer a mood that cares for the woman as a person, along with a level of camera craftsmanship that I frankly found lacking. Despite the attractiveness of the human element in these pictures, I found little attraction to this collection as a whole. -- wiredweird

sheer beauty,

Emanuelle Beart is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Although she is way over her youth her electrifying face draws imidiate attention.
Her gracefull body is photographed very sensuel in this exotic location. I would say this is a must have collectors item !
