Editorial Reviews

Review

Cuba on My Mind is written out of an engagement with present complexities that is at once emphatic and critical, connected and removed, knowing and bewildered.

(William Keach - Raritan Review )

In the end it's obvious de la Campa is not of Miami or Cuba but from somewhere in between. This is the most profound discovery in the book and a revelation sure to have a wide resonance among others in the same predicament.

(The Miami Herald )

…a good read and highly recommended for those who wish to have an insider's view into the social and political conditions of the respective nations.

(Multicultural Review ) --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

A very realistic story of the saga of the Cuban Nation split in two! The frustation of realizing that the main obstacle for peace remains the narrow minds of the "totalitarian style folks" that mirror each other's destrucive behavior within Cuba and in exile. Must be wait until the old generation passes on, or are we allowing them to contaminate this generation with their Castro-centric hatred??? For the sake of our children, the buck must stop with us. Let's have compassion and reconstruction. What we do today will affect the future generations.
