Cuba (Globetrotter Travel Guide),
This review is from: Cuba Travel Pack (Globetrotter Travel Packs) (Paperback)
This `Globetrotter' guide to Cuba is a good, but pretty basic look at this amazing country. It has a brief section at the front looking at the History, Art and Culture of Cuba before looking at specific regions in greater depth. The section on Havana is quite good and has plenty of sight seeing suggestions and the other regional chapters show how diverse this country is and what it has to offer to all travellers. The photography is in colour throughout and although some images are a touch dated, overall they illustrate the book very well. There is a section at the back with travel tips and advice as well. This is a good entry level guidebook, but if you want more in-depth information as well as clearer and more engaging text I'd suggest the Lonely Planet guide to Cuba, and Havana more specifically, which offer all this information and more, in what I feel to be a better overall package.
Feel free to check out my blog which can be found on my profile page. |
