5.0 out of 5 stars
It just keeps, umm... ticking along, and doesn't stop!,

This review is from: USB Humping Dog (Toy)
This little brown dog never ceases to amuse those who see it! It seems that humping your USB port is the only point to this little dog.
It absolutely has no redeeming qualities like built in flash memory, or even eyes that light up, though it's said that some tinkerers have modified them to both. Received one as a gift, and it is fun, and seems quite attached to notebook computers. Fun value: 5-stars Educational: 3-stars Durable: 5-stars (it pretty amazing!) Overall value: 5-stars, without a doubt! There's an ironic quote from the Google translation of the original Japanese page, and seems quite appropriate for the action of this little dog: "until it pulls out, it does not stop." There are variations (different breeds) available, so take your pick: - USB Humping Dog (Beagle) - Cables Unlimited White USB Moving Dog - USB Humping Dog (White Dalmation) OK, it's not as practical as a Kensington FlyLight USB 2.0 Notebook Light, or as functional and versatile as the Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB Cooling Fan, but it's a lot of fun. Update: According to the manuacturer, a personal computer with a USB port is all that's required, and the product is compatible with any OS. Personal tests on both the Mac and PC platforms prove this to be correct. Yes, this little dog does get around, but seemes happier with my VAIO notebook than anywhere else.

Save for the hilarious instructions written by a very poor chinese to english translator, this toy has no value as it falls apart immediately.

This review is from: USB Humping Dog (Toy)
This toy is hilarious, but it is very inconvenient since it is horrible at storing data, and the dog's humping legs block neighboring USB ports. The first few time my computers (Acer aspire, Macbook-pro, and Toshiba) read this USB storage device fine, but a few times later the USB ports had to be configured each use and soon after the USB storage was useless. In my frustration of failed data storage the humping dog is still funny.
