4.0 out of 5 stars Latest Dilbert Anthology
Once every few Dilbert collections, rather than just the new stuff, Adams issues a themed anthology of Dilbert stuff that collects together old cartoon strips under certain themes (his last one was Wally-focused!! - Book 27 in the series) - for the 30th book in the Dilbert collection, he chooses workplace cruelty, with each of the main characters having their own section...

1.0 out of 5 stars Rehash, rehash, rehash! :-(
There is absolutely NOTHING in this book that is new!
If you are a reader of "Dilbert" books, you will be wasting your money, since all the cartoons in it are borrowed from older books.
If I could find the receipt I'd apply for a refund.

Yes, there are old strips that you will have seen before, but it is always interesting to see how the drawing and character development has come along over the years. Very funny, as always - even second/third time round. Recommended and great fun.

#30 in Scott Adams series of books; this one is by subject matter and re-hashes his comic strips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny, October 5, 2008

In the comic book world, you have two kinds of books you can release: 'Collections'; which are new cartoons and 'Treasury' which contains "recycled" cartoons, usually from the 'Collections'. The good news about 'Treasuries' is they contain more pages of comic strips than the 'Collections' plus the Sunday strips are in color.

This Dilbert book is what you call a 'Treasury'. And this treasury like all Scott Adams Treasuries are based on themes. Cubes and Punishments: A Collection of Dilbert Comics on the Theme of Unusual Workplace Cruelty. This treasury has the funniest strips Scott Adams has ever created.
A very funny Dilbert that you will not be disappointed in.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dilbert loyalists; DON"T buy this book!, August 28, 2010

Generally the Dilbert comic strip has a weekly story line. They are funny as a set. This book just takes one or two strips from any given story line. They just don't make much sense this way. You don't get the lead in or how a story finishes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dilbert forever, June 27, 2010

Dilbert has been around for so long that he and his crew of misfits have become part of our lives. Anyone who has ever worked in an office has met, and worked with, the same odd balls that Dilbert sees everyday. Just when you think Scott Adams can't come up with something new he surprises you and this collection is just chock full of some of his best. Get it and enjoy.

A very witty collection of Scott Adams's characters and truly close to the bone in many instances.

4.0 out of 5 stars Disfunction as a business model, March 21, 2008

As always, Dilbert's latest collection serves me well as a "bathroom reader". Sitting there, reading through all the ridiculous frustrations of cubicle living reminds me of the long, boring hours spent waiting for meetings to end and work to begin. Unfortunately, some of the panels seem to come from the ancient days of the "pointy-haired boss", but the strips are still funny, the regulations still brainless, and the characters still timely. I eagerly await the newest installment of how to waste your life for money...
