Product Description

Get ready to "chill-out" with these cute mini ice cube trays! The 1/2 inch cubettes are great for crunching and can be used in place of crushed ice for mixed drinks and bottled water. The little cubes chill drinks faster and more evenly because of exposure to more cooling surface area. Because of their small size, they also freeze faster. Just "rinse and twist"* over a wide container and the 90 little cubettes are perfectly released.

Customer Reviews

I love the mini ice cubes produced by these trays.

The only way I can get them all out is to run HOT water on top and bottom of them and then I can twist them out into ice cube bin.

These trays are hard to twist the ice out then when you do break the ice it goes all over the floor.

I am a 65-yr-old sedentary programmer who can bench press a bottle of milk on a good day.
It takes me three seconds to get the ice out of the tray.
(OK. Sometimes two or three cubes stay in.)
The small cubes are very convenient to use, and the trays stack nicely in the freezer.

I love the "baby ice" that these cubes make. Just be sure to let them sit out a couple of minutes before cracking the ice out or the actual tray may crack. I slip the trays into a 2 gallon ziplock bag when I crack them and it is then good to store the ice in too. If not you will have dozens of stray cubes across your kitchen.

Works just as needed, a little messy coming out. If you place a plastic tub underneath it should be fine.

These trays do not take up much space and are easy to fill, use, and empty. The cube size is perfect for freshly squeezed fruit juices, storing broths, etc.

Difficult to remove from trays, but one you accomplish that, they are very nice for drinks instead of the large ice cubes.

I bought these mini ice cube trays because I love mini Ice in my drinks!!! These trays are hard to twist the ice out then when you do break the ice it goes all over the floor. The good thing about the trays is they are very sturdy and won't break while twisting them. So if anybody buys these just twist the ice out over your sink.

I have not as of right now tried the cubes in water, I have however frozen a batch, and I LOVE these trays.

First of all, the negatives... As you might have seen in other reviews, there ARE issues with trays sticking together, and it takes awhile to fully freeze, and they freeze unevenly if they're stacked...

However I found an easy fix for all of these issues, I took four plastic bendy straws and inserted one into another until I had a rectangular piece of straw (the shorter drinking end goes at the short edge, and longer parts on the long edge), that is slightly smaller than the tray itself (The bendy parts at the four corners) I then stack the trays with the straws between, not only does this keep the trays from sticking together, but they also keep space between the trays so that the cubes freeze evenly in 12 hours time (slightly longer than the average tray, but worth it)

the good parts about these trays, the ice cubes are small and perfect for chewing or sucking and the trays dump beautifully (as long as you allow them to FULLY freeze before dumping) they also hold more ice than you'd expect, four trays filled up my ice cube reservoire about 1/5 of the way...

anyways, the trays themselves are great, and fit my expectations, however if I had to give a rating to amazon themselves, it would be a three, I expected to get eight trays for the price I paid, however the package arrived and I received only four...

The outer edge should be higher to prevent over flow filling... it gets the job done, just kinda messy. If they redesigned it with better edges it would be a 5 star product.
