This is a great ideal but just doesn't do it,
By I saw this product online a year ago and thought it was a great ideal to have three cookers in one. I got it as a christmas gift last year. I have a small kitchen. I also travel a lot and thought it would be a good kitchen product to have. I have used this product five times. Three times as a deep fryer. Two times as a crock pot. As a crock pot it does cook hotter than others on low. So if you think you can go to work and come home and its almost done is just not going to Happen. Five hours on low is tops for that. This in itself would not be bad if the other functions worked properly. I have not steamed yet but after my deep fry's. I can't see why it wouldn't as the crock pot liner is used. Deep frying is the issue with this unit. Initially the oil comes to the right frying tempreture. The crock pot liner is not used in deep frying. Every thing is good for a couple of minutes. When the thermal cutout goes off it simply will not come on in time. And I mean not even close. To get a crisp fried product. As stated before they are greasy. In all fairness to the company. I called customer service and after a whole conversation of about 45 seconds. They had my name and address and shipped me a new lower heating unit at no cost. I had it in 4-5 days. The second unit preformed like the first. I would call again but what is the point. I have it and will use but not as deep fryer. What a shame. Just wish it would work. Unfortunately I would not recomend this product

This review is from: CucinaPro 280-01 3-in-1 Cooker, 4-Quart (Kitchen)
I've had this unit for about three years. We actually had to wait months to get it because it was on backorder. Now I'm trying to figure out why it was so popular. It's a pretty poor performer for at least two of its intended uses. As a slow cooker it gets too hot, even on low. As a deep fryer it runs far too cool. Despite a 400-degree setting and 30 minutes of heating, the hottest I could get the oil was 223 degrees, which is at least 125 degrees to cool to even think about frying.
