Product Description

Give your masher a break and try using a ricer the next time you make mashed potatoes. It is the preferred method by many chefs around the world. The ricer is also great for other root vegetables, baby food, gnocchi, lefse and spaetzle. Made of heavy chromed steel and a user friendly design. 12 inch long.

The ad calls this a potato Ricer/Spaetzle press. The box says it is a Potato Ricer. The MFR website says this is a Potato Ricer. I am very disappointed. The holes are too small for making spaetzle.

I have made mashed potatoes with this, and have used it to remove moisture from grated potatoes for hash browns and potato chips. It does both of those jobs wonderfully.

It is well constructed but I would check the holes on the bottom for metal flash and remove any prior to using it.

The quality of construction for this gadget is so-so, but not bad. It does work splendidly, though. We'll see how durable it is in the years to come. In all fairness, the price for it is inexpensive.

I was very excited to use this to rice potatoes for gnocchi, and more excited about the low cost . Unfortunately, the metal is cheap, weak, and tinny and bent on the first use so that it couldn't be used again. Amazon customer service has promised a refund, which is great. Caveat emptor! Spend the money on a solid one.

This is not a spaetzle maker. The holes are too small. Don't buy it for making spaetzle - it won't work.

This is a very poorly made item (but I should expect that from a $10 item). The main cylinder warped the first time I used it and it rusted after I washed it (box said nothing about not washing...and actually it made 0 reference to being a Spaetzle press either, not sure why that's listed)

Nice potato ricer, but personally, I wouldn't call this a Spaetzle press. Good quality. Easy operation.

Being one of the least expensive potato ricers, it does what it's inteneded to do and works very well, although the handle part seems to be made of a lower quality metal so I tend not to push too hard. For the money, I'm satisfied.
