Or that she isn't? Unlike his distant cousin Othello, whose jealous thoughts bring tragedy, Edwin's suspicions prove correct. Once the truth is out, Desdemona is definitely in the driver's seat, but it's Edwin who experiences the ultimate satisfaction of seeing his deepest fantasies become an intensely sensual reality. Literary-minded readers will find plenty of references to the classics to tickle their intellects and everyone will find plenty of wit to amuse (a Times crossword puzzle for sexually suggestive vulgarians, anyone?) While the gorgeous and sexually confident Desdemona dominates the story, even more appealing is Edwin's sometime partner Sally who helps him discover what he really wants in a most surprising way. From the very first page of this novel, you know you're in the hands of a master storyteller. What does workaholic Edwin fear more--that his neglected wife Desdemona is cheating on him? Or that she isn't? Once the truth is out, Desdemona is definitely in the driver's seat, but it's Edwin who experiences the ultimate satisfaction of seeing his deepest fantasies become an intensely sensual reality.
