This item looks nothing like the picture. It looks very cheaply made and the Abalone & Mother of Pearl are very dull. I got this item for a Christmas present and I would send it back if it wasn't so close to christmas. This item is badly represented.

I never got to see these. It was a birthday or Christmas present (in this family, there have been seven of us with birthdays within a week of Christmas), that was sent directly to my daughter to be given to my son-in-law. My daughter reported that they were beautiful, and when we Skyped, you could tell my son-in-law was genuinely happy with them. Not terribly expensive, but well designed and mother of pearl is kind of the poor man's opal. They were delivered, btw, four days after the order was placed, and I commend the seller on their promptness and honesty in description.

I started wearing french cuffs again and went on a cuff link shopping spree. Ordered these from Amazon. They are well made and look just like the picture. Always get a few looks and comments when I wear them. Good puchase.

Nice design and I like the abalone inlay. However, after knocking one of the links off my desk, when it fell on the floor, the inlay separated from the base. It is not obvious how to repair it, and I don't think a product like this should be done in by such a minor shock.
