It's hard to imagine that a simple mixing bowl could be improved, but Cuisinart has done it with this set of three bowls. Made of heavy-gauge stainless steel with beautiful mirror-finish exteriors, the 2-, 3-, and 6-quart bowls handle most kitchen tasks and make those tasks easier to boot. Flanges with rubber-lined holes ensure a good grip, and spouts opposite the flanges provide dripless pouring. For storage, the holes can be used for hanging the bowls from hooks or pegs, and the bowls also nest compactly. They carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
