Pan is sturdy, feels well made, and heats up quickly and evenly. Only complaint is the lid. It is much lighter weight than you would expect given the weight of the pan, does not fit very snugly, and its handle gets very hot. Definitely need to use a potholder to remove lid, and I could see lid slipping off if pan is full of rapidly boiling water. The handle on the pan itself stays fairly cool, not sure why they couldn't make the lid's handle of the same material. Would be perfect pan, if lid were better made.

I purchased the Cuisinart 77-14 Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 14-Piece Cookware Set and I bought this pan to go with it as it does not come with a 2 Qt saucepan. So far, I have been very happy with the whole set. The heat retention is very good and the clean up is very easy. The only thing is that I have to use Bar Keeper's Friend just about every time that I clean the pans because my water leaves white spots in the pans if only washed with dish soap.

I have them in two different sizes 1 1/2 and 3 qt.
I paid total 30$ including shipping and handling.

I use the small one regulary for making Indian Tea.
It feels good, looks good and heats well.
The handle is well desinged, and stays cool.
The rim/edge of the pan makes it easy for pouring liquid.
I want to use larger size (3 Qt) for sauting/cooking curries.
But the bottom of the pan is thinner for heavy duty cooking.
But still overall its a great deal!

I could not afford "professional cookware" before, but for the money this saucepan is it. Fairly heavy, nice to handle, easy to clean. The handle feels good in your hand, sturdy and well made. Same with the handle on the lid. The even heat distribution makes cooking easy at a low temperature, so no more burn food for me.
Perfect for making spaghetti, sups, pasta sauce, etc. Great buy for the money

I needed another small pot to re-heat food in. This pot succeeds with flying colors.

PRO: Stainless steel. (The best material for cookware in my opinion!)

PRO: Best value for it's size and material.

PRO: Dishwasher safe.

PRO: Works like a charm.

CON: Since you are buying only one pot, it is probably not going to match the rest of your cookware. (This didn't matter to me.)

I tried to fry something in this today and totally ruined the pan. It has a huge dark brown ring around the inside of the pan now. All that was in it was oil! Unfortunately, it was my roommates pan so I have to replace it now. Thankfully they are cheap and it really is a good pan otherwise. I would just be careful about using it for things at a high heat.

I have had good cooking experiences with Cuisinart's Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized cookware, so I wanted to try the Cuisinart's stainless steel cookware. I purchased the Cuisinart 719-14 Chef's Classic Stainless 1-quart saucepan with cover to test the performance of the stainless steel cookware to see how I would like cooking with stainless steel, before investing in larger pieces. I must say, I am happy with the cooking results (heats quickly and evenly), so, now, I will be adding several larger stainless steel pieces to my stock of kitchen cookware.

Having had all my small saucepans mysteriously disappear over time, my husband searched Amazon and found this pot. He bought two. Now I am set for Hollandaise sauce or one serving of a hot cereal. These pots are nicely heavy for even heating and do fit in the dishwasher.

I love these pans. I won't have anything else. Cuisinart are the best. They wash up good. Cook in them seems like the food taste better for some reason. I enjoy cooking a lot better now with these pans. The only thing I don't like is the lids. I wish they would made them so you could see how the food is cooking thru the lid.
