A Favorite
I bought the pasta insert to go with the stockpot and its been great. It fits snugly in the pot and makes removing the pasta a breeze. No worries about spilling hot water while trying to pour into a colandar. It cleans up real well -- a quick wash removes starch and returns the shiny finish. TOTAL MISMATCH For 9 Qt. Cuisinar
This so called pasta insert is a full 3 inches shallower that the 9 qt. Cuisinart pot! Cooking long pasta is a joke ( too shallow ) and ANYTHING cooked with this combo requires much more energy because the food is so far from the bottom of the pot. Worse still, the volume of food cooked in it is reduced greatly, rendering the insert useless for volume cooking. A WASTE OF...

The insert stinks. It does not utilize the full contents of the 9 qt. stock pot and does not cook all pasta properly because not all types of pasta fit into the pot.
