Cuisinart AFP-7CVR Bowl Cover

I purchased 2 replacement tops for my cuisinart food processor. The reason I ordered 2 is that they were [...] each, and the shipping was [...] whether I bought 1 or 2. The problem is that the tops do not fit. They are too snug. I am guessing these are aftermarket replacement tops.Now stuck with not knowing if I should order a new base and pay the shipping for that, and still not know if these tops will fit??

I ordered this replacement part, since the bowl cover it came with pretty much snapped right after I first used it. This replacement did not fit properly. It would not slide into place,it was too tight and I was afraid I would break it if I tried to push it into place. I am going to just order off of the Cuisinart website, which has it for $6.

Update 5/18/2011: I ordered the replacement from Cuisinart website, and it didn't fit either! They are sending me a bowl replacement (for free), since they said the cover should have worked. Cuisinart said that if I put the bowl in the dishwasher, it might have changed the shape of the bowl..So this cover might have worked with a new bowl..

I think this replacement part is better quality than the original. If I need to replace any other parts, I will be back.

Wife knocked the Cuisanart off the counter. Securing tab broke off. Found this on Amazon. Next week, the new part arrives, works great, is a factory Cuisanart part. Don't throw out the pusher from your old top...this doesn't include it. Very glad to have my food processor back in action!

I bought this because I dropped the original piece and the latch broke. This one is exactly the same as the original product. Perfect replacement!

You would think that this would be a simple purchase but no...not so fast.
It does not fit the bowl that it is supposed to fit - I mean it is much too snug and cannot be twisted on. If you do manage to twist it on, you may not be able to remove it. I just now found that other reviewers have left similar comments.

Ordered this because I dropped mine and it broke. Easy to order and received quickly. Fits my food processor perfect, just what I needed.

The product arrived right away, even faster than expect it. It fit my processor perfectly.
I am so happy with my purchase.

My cover broke and I bought this cover as a replacement. This cover did not fit my bowl. I had to also order the workbowl. New cover and new workbowl. Now everything works. Cheaper than a new processor. Five Stars if you buy both pieces.

I had broken one of the side clips and glued it too many times. It was so easy to go to the Amazon site and just order it. The price was right and it just what I needed. Easy.
