The combination blender/food proceesor is a great product. I've had this model for years and the bowl works well under any circumstances EXCEPT when I attempted making bread crumbs with dried baked bread. DON'T TRY THIS WITH THIS ITEM. It is the reason why I had to replace the work bowl.

The hardened bread will scratch the inside of the bowl and/or will become caught over/under the blade jamming the bowl causing the tabs to crack that hold the bowl in place to the base. If you must try making bread crumbs, remove all the crust first before attempting to grind the inner portion. This was my mistake. And only use commercial white sandwich bread.

Other than that, the item works like a champ!!

I ordered this product to replace mine, which I dropped and cracked. It is the exact thing I needed, without having to fork over a bunch of cash to replace the whole unit. Great price, shipping was a bit pricey, but the item is bulky, so maybe that's the reason. Still, the manufacturer website wanted more for both, the replacement bowl and shipping, so I still only paid about half of what I would have on mfg website. Overall, very pleased with this purchase, and will purchase again if I need to.

The replacement part (work bowl) for the Cusinart 7 cup food processor is an exact replacement for the original part albiet it does seem to be made of a slightly less dense plastic. The old one was replaced as it had a crack in it. The price was reasonable we will have to wait and see if it holds up.
